Townhouse in Athens

Two connected adorable cozy townhouses. Located downtown Athens - only 2 blocks from City Hall and a few more to UGA Arches, Classic Center. Across the street from Lay Park with playground, public pool, Lyndon House Arts Center & Museum and 1/2 a mile to Greenway! Enjoy shopping, dining, live music, festivals, and art galleries. A few blocks from the GA Theatre, 40 Watt Club, Hotel Indigo & the The Foundry. No need for a car. No Parties allowed. The space Our townhouses are located downtown Athens for visitors wanting to enjoy Athens for what it is best known for.... Some would say Bulldawg Football and all sports. Some would say its the amazing local music scene (you can't stay closer unless you stay in a hotel), or any of the many special events going on or just visiting students or professors or friends. The townhouses are mirror images of each other and connected by a communicating door. The 2 kitchens have everything you need for meal preparation and an enjoyable dining experience including ovens with stove top, microwaves, toaster ovens, coffee makers, blender, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, cutlery, plates, napkins, etc. We also provide fresh coffee grounds, an assortment of teas, plus basics for cooking and baking (oils, spices, sweeteners, condiments, etc.). Both living rooms are adorned with our collection of folk art tapestries and wood pieces, and are the perfect lounge area for relaxing and socializing. We also have two 40-inch flat screen televisions with Roku and DVD players. Regular cable/TV service is NOT provided. An HDMI cable is provided if guests wish to connect their laptop/tablet/ mobile device to the TV in order to stream content through WIFI. There are 2 half baths downstairs and 2 full baths upstairs (1.5 in each townhouse). We can definitely accommodate families with small children as we have child locks, retractable child gates on the stairs, and keep a Pack N Play, high chair, and a few toys, etc. in the house at all times. Enjoy the screened in back patios with ceiling fans, comfortable chairs, and view of back yards and the top of the Lyndon House (over our new wooden privacy fence). We also have outside table and chairs, and charcoal grills for those wanting to dine outside. Guests can also enjoy the chiminea. ~BONUS~ ***** LAY PARK PUBLIC POOL with CLIMBING WALL **** Only 0.1 Miles away/ easy 3 min walk $1/ person. Open Memorial Day through Late July; 1:00–5:30 PM, Tuesday–Friday and Sunday, and 12:00–5:30 PM on Saturday. The pool is closed on Mondays for maintenance. Guest access There are 4 guest parking spaces available (for regular sized vehicles) and more spaces may be made available upon special request. The townhouses and property is there for your private use. Accessibility note: The bedrooms and full bathrooms are located upstairs on the second floor. There are 2 half baths on the first floor. Other things to note We are flexible hosts. Please contact us with questions or special requests about our terms--it never hurts to ask. :) Please let us know if you need special arrangements or different check-in/check-out times and we will accommodate as our schedule allows. No pets allowed! We are sensitive to guests that have pet allergies and so do not allow pets on the premises!
