Built in 1828, The Captain’s House sits right in the heart of Greenport Village, a historic harbor town at the end of Long Island’s North Fork. Once a busy 19th-century whaling & shipbuilding port, Greenport is now known for its waterfront, shops, restaurants, and easy access to North Fork wineries, beaches, and farm stands. The house is about a 7-minute walk to the LIRR station, Hampton Jitney stop, and the Shelter Island Ferry, making it easy to arrive without a car. The space Key Features Historic Character A classic Greek Revival home with original architectural details, paired with modern comforts for an easy stay. Spacious & Comfortable With approximately 1,860 square feet, the house comfortably accommodates up to six guests. It includes three bedrooms, and two full bathrooms. One of the bedrooms and baths is on the ground floor. Chef’s Kitchen A fully equipped kitchen with a commercial range and stainless steel appliances, ideal for cooking at home after a day of exploring. Bright Living Space An airy, comfortable living room where everyone can relax and unwind. Private Outdoor Space A fenced-in yard that’s perfect for outdoor dining, morning coffee, or simply enjoying the charm of village life. Guest access Guests are welcome to stay use the entire house with the exception of the basement. Other things to note The house has a security system with an exterior camera above the back porch overlooking the driveway. There is also a camera in the basement, which is off limits to guests.
