Custom built new home built purposefully for Airbnb quests. This house offers a distinctive design with a large loft bedroom and a fully tiled bathroom. The loft overlooks the downstairs living area which has an open living room, dining area, and kitchen. The second bedroom and bath are located on the first floor. Granite, slate, and soapstone accentuate the countertops, vanities, and shower areas. You will also see unique pieces of furniture, accent tables and artwork throughout the house. This is an incredibly comfortable house. While from the outside it appears to leave a small footprint, inside it is spacious, warm and comfortable, and pleasing to the eye wherever you look. Let’s start with the kitchen. In my opinion the kitchen layout is the ultimate in food preparation efficiency. Everything; the stove, refrigerator, and counter prep areas are all within a few steps of each other. The new state-of-the-art glass top convection range with a large oven allows for the preparation of small to very large meals easily. The refrigerator is also new, with ample space to store perishables and frozen food. Overall, there is actually 35 sf of antiqued granite counter space for prep work, and 8 linear feet of a raised bar that can be used for serving in the dining area. The floor in the kitchen area is a beautiful multi-colored natural cleft slate. The dining area seats four people at the dining table, and three at the raised bar. The dining area is also open to the living room which has a beautiful tree and glass coffee table, and matching glass and tree shelving. The living room area is extremely cozy, with a couch and chairs that are cushiony and comfortable. There is also a one of a kind Picasso series end table, and wood floors and area rugs that accent the decor. Just down the hall from the rooms described above are the bedroom and bathroom located on the same floor. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, a small writing table and chair, and a comfortable barrel chair. The bathroom downstairs has a bathtub/shower that is fully tiled (the floor is also tiled with natural cleft slate), and a granite topped vanity. Lastly, the upstairs loft offers a spacious bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, a seating area with two chairs and a coffee table, and a small couch and bedroom vanity area. A hand crafted wood and customized rebar railing overlooks the downstairs. The upstairs bathroom compliments the bedroom. The bathroom has a fully tiled large shower that has a beautiful soapstone shower seat. Also, there is a large vanity with a granite top, and natural cleft slate floors. I also think it is important to note that much the artwork hanging in the house is original and not copies, there is WIFI throughout the house, and there are TVs in the living room and two bedrooms. The house is heated with zone heating during the winter months. My interactions with the quests will include checking them in and familiarizing them with the house answering any questions they may have. I live one minute away off the property, and will make myself available if needed. Located just one mile outside of Rosendale, NY on a 15 acre wooded lot, this home offers access to a private hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, and cross country skiing trail 20 feet from your front door. The trail eventually leads you to the Wallkill Valley Rail trail. Other interesting sites and places to visit within a short distance from the property include, but are not limit too, High Falls, Stone Ridge, New Paltz, the Strand in Kingston on the Roundout Creek that leads to the Hudson River, Saugerties, Woodstock, The Gunks (short for Shawangunks), and Belleayre, Hunter and Windham Mountains offering great downhill skiing and other fantastic summer and winter recreational activities. Also, The Mohonk Mountain House is near by with its renowned hiking trails and gardens. You do not have to be a quest to enjoy, as day passes are available. The house is easily accessed from NYC and other locations around the country as it is only 7 miles from the New York State Thruway. Also, if you are coming from NYC and need public transportation, Trailways buses run almost hourly out of Port Authority and will drop you off within walking distance to the house. Uber and taxis are available for local travel.
