This accommodation is on the second floor (the first floor is a private garage). In a quiet neighborhood, you will be surrounded by cottonwoods. In the summer you might feel like you are in your personal tree house. In the winter, when the trees are bare, you can gaze down at nature’s artistry of branches and shadows on the snow. A wall of windows lets you overlook the historic Rio Grande River. This place is a get-a-way haven for nature lovers who want their own space. You can spend your morning coffee time watching the river roll by, or can snuggle in for the whole morning on the love seat and contemplate nature’s beauty. Don’t forget, we are dog friendly, so your four legged pal can cuddle with you! A wood stove makes winter evenings cozy; in the summer you can mesmerize your evenings away by a fire in the outdoor fire pit. Complete second floor of this building, the first floor is a private garage. I’m available any time if you have a problem or just advice on things to see and do! There is a greeting letter in the cabin with my contact info Tons of things in the area to do! Wolf Creek ski area is just 18 miles away and in the summer the Rio Grande River has many activity’s to offer. Hiking, mountain biking, four wheel drive trails. Lots to do if you enjoy the outdoors. And if not, is a great place to just sit enjoy the river and read a good book Winter activities abound, skiing and snow boarding at the Wolf Creek Ski area and multiple groomed snow mobile trails are at your door step. Groomed Cross country ski trails, ice fishing, or a scenic drive to the mining town of Creede for lunch at one of their outstanding restaurants are also options. Note this section of the Rio Grande River is Gold Water Fly Fishing only; for bait fishing there are several well stocked lakes with near by. And, two hot springs are within a hours drive. The Sand Dunes Swimming pool, which has a unique greenhouse filled with hot tubs and a very good eatery on site; and the Pagosa Hot Springs, in Pagosa. Come summer, out-of-doors activities are abound. Hiking, biking, rafting, horseback riding, four wheeling and fishing are practically at your door step.
