See our new video! Go to You tube “NorthernMinnesota Island” Min. night Policy: Our intent is that we have 3-4 night min. in order to cover our costs but we will make exceptions to that rule. . NOTE THIS IS AN ISLAND ADVENTURE SO YOU NEED A BOAT OR WE HAVE DISCOUNTED RATE ON A VERY NICE 22' PONTOON. Your private island has patios, authentic log cabins with GNI Railroad memorabilia and a beautiful Tea House gathering spot. DISCOUNT FOR OFF SEASON TIMES AND RETURNING GUESTS. SEE REVIEWS! The space This is a one of a kind spot for a respite away from everything. The beach area is not your traditional walk from sandy shore. You may either walk down a set of stairs to the 40’ wide sandy area in the water or step off the south dock after your nearby sauna and swim out to the floating swim platform. We have more photos and information and many testimonials from happy families available, just reach out. We are also negotiable on price for off season times, but we do winterize the cabins November -March so there would be no running water. We would discuss the options but it is beautiful in winter as well! Northern MN Island Battle Lake. A Bed Count and best kitchen area updated June 2020: The taller of the two cabins is the Guest Cabin, and that is where the kitchen table is and a much more storage for cooking, so feel free to use that as your kitchen and main eating Cabin. However, the main cabin also has a fully stocked kitchen, just not as large. There should be a big coffee pot in each cabin for your use, as well as waffle maker, Foreman Sandwich Grill, electric skillet and electric frying pan, etc. The Main cabin is about the same size as Guest Cabin, approximately 32’ by 40’. The Main cabin has a queen bed in the master br., as well as a fold out futon in the living room. The loft has a full bed over queen bed log bunk bed, as well as a second foldout futon and another twin size bed. The guest cabin master bedroom has a queen bed. In the living room is a very comfortable full size fold out couch. The loft in this cabin has a two twin sized beds, one queen sized bed, and 1 full sized bed. Unfortunately there Tea House is not to be used for sleeping, gathering and games only. We want to keep the furniture nice and it is such a nice gathering spot, we would prefer that you don’t. The Sauna Cabin does have a foldout futon, but may not be preferable for an overnight lodging option. A tent or two could possibly be used for sleeping quarters on the property during your stay, but this would be at your own risk and obviously not recommended during any kind of poor weather. Dogs are welcome if you clean up perfectly after them and we do charge $20 per day per dog under 40 lbs and $25 per day per dog for over 40 pound dogs. You are staying at another family’s vacation home, so please take great care of it and respect all aspects of the property and surrounding areas. Guest access This is a private island and you will have free rein of everything. If you don't have your own boat, we can make arrangements to rent a watercraft or pontoon. There are two gorgeous log cabins with multiple sleeping areas in each. Each cabin has a full bathroom and fully stocked kitchen. There is also a sauna house, with another sleeping area, as well as a Tea House for gathering, games and meals. Other things to note This property is available to families and their relatives 30 years or older and not for unrelated groups looking for a party. The boat landing for the island is adjacent to where you can park your car and is a 1/5 mile boat trip out to the private island. I have a canoe and rowboat you can use at your own risk and arrangements can possibly be made if you need to rent a pontoon boat. Dogs are welcome if you clean up perfectly after them and we charge $20 per day per dog under 40 lbs and $25 per day per dog for over 40 pound dogs.
