Handcrafted by local artists from the ground up, the Studio blends modern simplicity with warm, soulful design. Whether you're here to work on something meaningful or simply unplug and breathe deeply, this space invites you to slow down and reconnect—with yourself, with nature, and with the rhythms that matter. The living room is anchored by a custom-carved stone fireplace—part sculpture, part source of warmth during the colder seasons. Nearby, a handmade dining table offers space for journaling, meals, or late-night conversations. Original artwork by Ilias Muratov adds depth and emotion to the space, and the large leather seating area faces a massive picture window that opens directly into the forest. Sunlight pours in during the day; at night, the space glows softly with ambient light and firelight. Step outside and you’ll find a private outdoor barrel sauna, tucked behind the Studio and surrounded by trees. It’s the perfect way to transition from an invigorating hike to a restorative evening, or to start your morning with intention. Guests often tell us it becomes their favorite part of the stay—an unexpected ritual of warmth and release. The Studio was designed to feel open, clean, and grounding. Natural textures—wood, stone, wool—fill the space, and every item was chosen with care. The floors are finished in high-quality bamboo, offering both beauty and durability underfoot. The layout is open-plan, with the living, dining, kitchen, and sleeping zones flowing naturally together. There’s a full kitchen stocked with cooking essentials, strong Wi-Fi for remote work, and plenty of outlets for your gear. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or seeking a quiet space to reflect or create, this Studio adapts to your rhythm. The sleeping area includes a comfortable bed with soft linens and a high-quality Casper mattress, designed with Zoned Support™ technology for ergonomic, balanced comfort. Whether you're rising with the forest light or sleeping in with the windows open to birdsong, the bed was chosen to support deep, restorative rest. While the Studio feels like a retreat, it’s not isolated. There are neighboring homes nearby (visible from the porch), but the setting remains quiet and respectful. We ask all guests to be mindful of noise and to treat the space and surroundings with care. A few things to know: the fireplace is available during the heating season (October 1 – May 15), and the sauna is yours to enjoy year-round. The wool carpet may shed slightly—please take note if you have allergies or sensitivities. We maintain a regular pest control plan, but as with any forested location, you may occasionally see bugs or small wildlife, especially in warmer months. Guest access You’ll have full access to the entire Studio, including the front porch and the private outdoor barrel sauna. Parking is available for up to two vehicles directly in front of the building. The entry is private and there are no shared spaces—this is a standalone building meant for your exclusive use. Other things to note This Studio is located along the forested Shawangunk Ridge, so occasional encounters with insects or small wildlife are possible, especially in warmer months. We have regular pest control in place, but this is still a natural setting. The fireplace is available for use during the heating season (October 1 – May 15). The sauna is available year-round. The carpet is made from natural wool and may shed slightly. If you’re highly sensitive or allergic, please keep this in mind. We take cleaning seriously—our trained team prepares the space with detailed care before every stay.
