Designed by local architects Clare Henry Day & Leon Armentrout as a Poolside Casita in 1980's to match the Mid Century design of the primary residence, which they designed in the 1950's. Space was renovated by the current owners in 2015. The space The Casita features an open floor plan that was designed to be easily segmented into separate sleeping and living areas. A kitchenette and breakfast bar provide all you need to enjoy a snack or simple meal. The shower and toilet areas are divided to allow privacy and convenience for all guests. The main sleeping area contains a true queen bed (Serta mattress) and an additional full-height Serta air mattress may be added as needed. We additionally have a twin low-height mattress for accompanying children. ***Please request additional sleeping surfaces at time of reservation. Options are limited once stay begins due to host schedule.*** Please note: the electrical panel is sufficient to safely operate all aspects of the Casita as arranged by the hosts. Importing appliances or medical devices with electrical needs that supercede the current capacity place the guests at risk of power outage and fire. Please declare any special needs in the initial request to ensure the device load will not create an unsafe environment. Any damages that result from importation of extraneous appliances or devices will be the responsibility of the registered guest(s). Guest access Undeclared guests are prohibited access to the property. Parking is available off-street to registered guests immediately in front of the indicated detached garage. Egress to the Casita is by way of a paved sidewalk. The Casita is available to guests as a standard component of the stay. Pool use is allowed and registration indicates acceptance of liability waiver (as this activity is at your own risk and no lifeguards are present). Use of the gym/game room is considered on a case-by-case basis and requires an additional fee/deposit prior to check-in. Misuse or neglect of any elements of the property may result in restriction of amenities during visit and may also result in sequestration of the security deposit for repair/replacement as needed. Other things to note A breakfast bar with three bar stools and a coffee table with sofa seating are great dine-in options for adults or older kids. Families may request toddler-sized stools for little guests as well.
