We accept medical students and professionals that have a need to be out of the house for the bulk of the workday Monday to Thursday as Darlene works from home. We typically accommodate doctors, residents and medical students working at the nearby Civic Hospital / Heart Institute. We understand this may not be a fit for everyone and apologize. The home is shared with us and another room across the hall from yours. The space Large bedroom with room darkening curtains. Desk, lots of light, dresser and closet with hangers. All linens supplied and clean towels and sheets offered on weekends (we do not offer housekeeping services but will gladly take your dirty linens and provide you with clean ones). There is a fridge in your room. Ironing board and iron available. Note there is no parking on the property or nearby streets as the neighbourhood will be undergoing infrastructure changes. Guest access There is a shared bathroom on the main floor. Terry and I also have our own bathroom downstairs. You may use cooking utensils and cooking appliances in kitchen. We have provided a small refrigerator in your room so ask you to be cognizant that groceries you purchase will fit in there. The kitchen fridge is not shared space. You're welcome to use the washer and dryer in the basement (typically 10-5 on weekends). Unlimited wi-fi provided. During warmer weather you are welcome to access the seating area outback - there are tables and chairs, shade or sun. The hot tub is not available for guests. During your stay As Darlene works from home, she is around more often and therefore we seek guests that have reason to be out of the house for the bulk of the workday Monday to Thursday. Terry is a bit of an introvert - but just ask him about "home" and you'll get him going :-) He's an east coaster at heart :-) Other things to note We rent only to medical trainees and professionals. We are an early rising house, with people using the kitchen by 5am. We have a Ring Doorbell Camera installed on the front porch, providing visibility to the front porch and walkway for security purposes. There is another camera installed on the garage that provides a view of the back door and driveway.
