Beautiful Mountain Retreat in Truckee

This is the perfect place to work remotely or enjoy for a nice relaxing weekend. Truckee offers many outdoor activities like rafting, boating, swimming, golfing, mountain biking, hiking, as well as a superb food and coffee scene. You could not wish for more! The space Enjoy the benefit of relaxing or working remotely in this beautiful mountain retreat while experiencing the natural splendors of Truckee. Spring offers snowcapped mountains and blooming flowers. Summer is Truckee at its best with boating, rafting, biking, hiking, and plenty of music festivals. Fall offers all the benefits of summer but with cooler days and less crowds. And Winter transforms Truckee into a wonderland and the ski slopes are literally steps from the front door. This is a beautifully renovated unit with lots of natural light and views of the surrounding mountains. Expect to feel at peace the moment you arrive and you will find it really hard to leave. Welcome each glorious sunrise over the mountains with a fresh coffee and grinder provided for your enjoyment. Enjoy a walk by the river, hiking the historic trails, fishing, star gazing, paddle boarding, a bike ride next to the river, and more! Additionally, Downtown Truckee provides many restaurants and breweries that provide an excellent selection of food, many with beautiful mountain and river views. The unit itself is a delight and comes with a fireplace that is perfect to use on cold days and to enjoy during the evenings with a nice glass of wine. A sound bar and Chromecast makes streaming movies easy. A wide selection of DvDs and board games are available for entertainment and family fun. Additionally, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything your party could need to cook a mountain feast, including a Crockpot. All beds are extremely comfortable. Our mountain home is perfect for lounging by the fireplace with a good book, drinking a glass of wine while looking at the view, enjoying a mountain stroll using the trails located feet from our door, and more. Trust me, you will find it hard to leave! Our home's first floor contains an open living room, dining area and kitchen which is perfect for groups and creates the perfect gathering space. On the second floor is a full bathroom with washer/dryer, one bedroom with a queen and twin bed. The third loft area contains a futon bed with an additional tv and dvd player, and table with various games. The top floor contains the master bedroom with a king sized bed and an additional bathroom with shower. Guest access Guests have access to the on-site amenities year round for free including the pool, jacuzzi, and clubhouse which contains a pool table, foosball, and more. Additionally, guests will have access to the many Tahoe Donner amenities (including Trout Creek Recreation Center, Downhill Ski Resort, Alder Creek Adventure Center, TD Equestrian Center, TD Golf Course, TD Golf and Pickleball Courts and more!) for a moderate fee by utilizing the guest passes available for guests of our unit. Please Note. Starting 2026 Tahoe Donner has instituted Blackout Dates for Short Term Renters. This means that during these dates, renters WILL NOT have access to Tahoe Donner amenities. These dates DO NOT impact their ability to enjoy the public amenities offered by Truckee Recreational District (West End Beach, Donner Memorial Park, etc.) Short-Term Tenant Card blackouts are implemented on the following dates: -Jan 17-19 (MLK Day) -Feb 14-16 (President’s Day) -May 23-25 (Memorial Day) -July 1-5 (July 4th) -Sept 5-7 (Labor Day) -Nov 26-29 (Thanksgiving Day) -Dec 24-Jan 3, 2027 (Christmas/New Year’s holiday) Other things to note We have wood floors and carpet upstairs, we ask that you please remove your shoes before going entering the main living space and leaving them in the mudroom. You may want to bring slippers. Also, there is a short uphill walk with stairs from the parking lot to the unit. We have provided a wagon to help ease transportation of items, but be prepared for a short walk. It is worth it for the views!
