The Blackhouse Cottage

We have spent 7 months renovating this beautiful cottage you will love the charm this cottage has set amongst New Zealand ferns, pungas and cabbage trees . The black house cottage is a 2 min drive to Hokitikas CBD or a easy 15 min walk along the Hokitika bridge The cottage has been renovated but still has the cottage charm with natural NZ native timber features . the main area is set up as a studio with queen bed and the bedroom has a king which can be split into 2 singles ( please let us know in advance if you would like singles made up other wise it is made up as a king )you have unlimited WiFi and a smart T.V with netflix and you tube . there is parking right in front of the cottage . there are stairs onto the main deck verandah. on the property we also have another separate guest unit the blackhouse bnb ensuite unit so if you are a larger group this would be ideal the Blackhouse Cottage is located in a very quite semi rural setting . Hokitika is a great place to base your westcoast break Franz Josef is a 1 hour 30 min drive Fox Glacier is a 2 hour drive . Punakaiaki( Pan cake rocks) is a 1 hour drive we are happy to help book your activities you might be wanting to do in the glacier area scenic flights in Fox and Franz are amazing all year round. we can phone ahead for you and we can do this with no deposits required.
