Los Santillos is a small rural house just outside El Pinar. Thanks to its isolated location in the middle of El Hierro's volcanic landscape, it's a perfect place to disconnect from stress and routine, and enjoy the total tranquility offered by the island's nature. Valverde, the island's capital, is just 20 kilometers away. The house has about 50m² of surface area, in addition to another open room, about 10m², in the upper part as a second bedroom. In this way the house can accommodate up to 5 people. The living room is connected to the upper bedroom by an easily accessible wooden staircase (wide steps). Additionally, there is another closed bedroom with a separate exit to the terrace. The kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom are all very comfortable and well-equipped. The house offers excellent mattresses, Wi-Fi access, a flat-screen TV with German TV channels, a washing machine, a refrigerator with a freezer, and a four-burner gas stove for cooking. “In the middle of nowhere,” this location offers panoramic 180-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean during the day, and on clear nights, a breathtaking starry sky. Thanks to its isolated location from the village, there is no light pollution. In addition, being located on the southeast of the island, guests experience excellent weather from morning until the fantastic sunset at night. You can enjoy absolute silence; you only hear the lively singing of the canary birds and the sounds of the wind. In addition, this little paradise features a small volcanic cave, converted into a room with a barbecue, for enjoying truly special evenings. Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy numerous well-established, iconic trails on the island, which are clearly marked and very close to the house. These trails, which are easily navigable with appropriate footwear, lead (among many other destinations) to La Restinga and Tacorón. Especially in the fishing port of La Restinga, even when the tide is rough, you can swim in the Atlantic Ocean just fine. Another path leads to Tacorón, a very charming bathing area that has several natural pools formed by the volcanoes and is very well equipped for bathing. If you don't feel like walking, these places can also be reached by car in about 20 minutes. Anyone who loves solitude and tranquility in the midst of the young volcanic landscape will be hard-pressed to find a comparable place to stay.
