Our studio space is detached from our house, 460 sq. ft., including a bedroom area, living space, small food prep/eating area and clean, bright bathroom. We are located in downtown Sebastopol, near great food, great wine, hiking, biking and more! We have made the modern bungalow beautiful and special because we love our guests and get so much pleasure from sharing a wonderful space with fantastic people. The main living and sleeping area is one large 460 sq. ft. space. It is separate from our house and remodeled in 2016. We are excited to welcome and meet Airbnb friends, old and new. The space has a separate entrance. It is spacious, cozy, clean and modern with Mid-Century furnishings and colorful art. There is NO TELEVISION but there is great WiFi and also a 9 screen movie theater just 2 blocks away. The open floor plan is divided into a comfortable sleeping area and spacious living area. Our guests have loved the comfort of the queen bed with Stearns and Foster mattress, memory foam topper and luxury, high quality bedding. There is a ceiling fan for those occasional warm summer nights and a heater to keep the space cozy in winter. The food prep space is almost a kitchen (NO STOVE/OVEN). It has a coffee pot (coffee provided), teakettle, toaster, microwave and compact fridge. In the open living area you will have a table and chairs for having coffee or enjoying a simple snack or meal. We provide coffee, tea and filtered water. Lots of local information is there for you on the desk. Bring your laptop and use our high speed wifi. Of course there is also a lovely bathroom which is bright and clean. The bathroom includes high quality shampoo, conditioner and hairdryer, for you to use. We hope that you have the time to enjoy the outdoor seating areas and lovely landscape, too. Our location is downtown Sebastopol with easy access to lots of great restaurants, wine tasting, hiking, walking, bike trails. Once you park your car in our off street parking, you can walk to everything in Sebastopol! Our home is in a great in-town neighborhood. We are situated on nearly a third of an acre so the backyard feels like a bit of an oasis in the downtown. Spend some time in the quiet, colorful back yard and enjoy some sunshine in the beautiful landscape and views of the Laguna and Santa Rosa mountains. Guests will have privacy in their separate studio living space and we invite you to also relax in the shared back yard which is a beautiful, colorful garden oasis. There are several outdoor seating areas, where you can have coffee and breakfast in the morning or wine and cheese and snacks in the afternoon. It is always a treat to share the incredible landscaping; a work of art that Hap has created. We enjoy meeting new people and also respect your privacy. For 18 months we have entIrely enjoyed meeting guests from California, the U.S. and around the world. We really hope to continue the tradition of making new friends. through Airbnb. It is also a pleasure to share local tips with our guests the things (great restaurants, wine tasting, biking and hiking trails) that make our spot in the world special. Sebastopol is in the center of Wine Country, with the Russian River to the West, Healdsburg to the North, Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley to the East. Our home is in downtown Sebastopol; a wonderful Northern California town with a great Main Street, and the new Barlow Center located just a few blocks away. You can walk to great restaurants, wine , brew pubs, a 6-plex movie theater, the best homemade ice cream at Mimi's, bike and walking/biking trails,health food markets and more! Visit our fantastic Sunday Farmers Market for delicious food, colorful vegetables and fruits, music, crafts and just hanging out. Take a short drive to the Sonoma Coast, Bodega Bay, the Russian River, Redwood Groves; we are surrounded by Sonoma County vineyards. Less than one hour drive to Napa Valley Wine Country or San Francisco. Walking is the best way to get around our town and within a 2 block walk there are several interesting food markets, small local shops, many restaurants, a pharmacy, movie theaters, the new Barlow center with tasting rooms from quite a few excellent local wineries, brew pubs, coffee shop, a fantastic bakery, everything you need and want. Bring your bicycles, there are several accessible bike trails within blocks of our house. There is a bus located 2 blocks away. If you have a car, park it in our off street driveway. We are licensed by the City of Sebastopol (License # SKA0001). Airbnb adds the city 10% occupancy tax to the final payment amount. The space is perfect for two people and large enough to accommodate a third ( with a high quality futon cushion) but please let us know if there will be more than 2. There is a small charge for extra guests. We love children but our space is not set up for toddlers. Please check with us if you are bringing children. Check in time is 3pm and check out is at 11 but both will be flexible if no other guests are scheduled just before or after your visit.
