Please keep the communication via Airbnb. there is not good internet/telephone connection in teh Island. The ferry from Chiquilá leaves from 6 am to 9:30 pm every 30 minutes. The ferry to the island takes 20 minutes and the walk from the pier to the house is 10 minutes but we advise to take a taxi because streets are not paved. Taxi ( golf car) charges around 100 pesos to the house. Please advise via Airbnb what time you will take the ferry from Chiquilá in order to calculate your arrival time and hand over the keys. La Casa de Mia is located just 5 minute walk from the beach and 5 minute walk from the center and restaurant area, you will be almost around the corner from the best lobster pizzas in Holbox at Roots Pizza, Arte Sano with the best vegan dishes and if you want to eat on the beach; Capitán Capitán Beach Club has the best sushi and cocktails in a very relaxed atmosphere in front of the sea. Please get informed about lifestyle in Holbox in general, this is an off the grid area and streets in the whole Island are not paved, it has a rural feeling and this may be charming or annoying depending on your expectations. To get from the ferry to the house you can easily walk if you do not have very heavy luggage. If you don't want to walk you can take a "taxi" that is a golf cart from the pier. In Holbox, there are no cars, only golf carts or scooters and bicycles, but everything is within walking distance. In the rainy season, there may be puddles and it is advisable to bring water shoes such as sandals or rubber boots. Throughout the island, the floor is sand, not paved. We highly recommend taking a taxi (golf cart), from the Ferry to the house, the streets are difficult to walk, especially if you bring suitcases, the taxi charges 100 pesos from the ferry to the house. Renovations in the rooftop from May 10-18/23 ->Out of this dates everything is quiet and normal. Please be aware that due to maintenence reasons, from May 10th to the 18th 2023; the rooftop area and pool will be closed, for this reason we are offering discounted rates, a 50% of the standard rate( 70 usd)" - There will be maintenence work in the rooftop area will be taking place from 8 am to 6 pm, please plan accordingly and understand that there may be noise during this hours. 70 usd per night is already the discounted rate.
