Copper Beech Cottage

Copper Beech Cottage is perfect for those looking for a cosy, romantic getaway. Surrounded by large trees, beautiful woodland gardens, across the road from the Ōpāwaho River and the sound of birdsong at your doorstep, you are bound to feel relaxed and at home in our bespoke cottage. Staying in a tiny home is an unforgettable experience — and we hope you’ll fall in love with this space just as we have. Please note: The spa is closed for the season from December 1 to February 28. The space Please note that Copper Beech Cottage is situated on the same property as our main residence, and we live on-site. While we've designed the cottage to feel as private and secluded as possible, you may occasionally see us around during your stay. We're always happy to offer help if needed, while fully respecting your space and privacy. Guest access Outdoor Space: You’ll have your own patio area — perfect for relaxing with a drink, enjoying a meal by the brazier, or simply soaking in the peaceful natural surroundings. Property Access: Please note that access to the cottage includes landscaped steps and a gravel path, which may make it a bit tricky to pull a suitcase. If you have limited mobility or are bringing a lot of gear, we’re more than happy to assist you on arrival. Alternatively, we suggest maybe bringing a day bag to make it easier. Spa Pool The spa pool is available from 9am to 9pm, between March 1 and November 30. It's a shared facility located near our residence, so while it’s a lovely space to unwind, it’s not private. The water is kept at a warm 39°C, but we can adjust the temperature if needed, especially if you’re pregnant or prefer it cooler. Family-Friendly For families travelling with children, there’s a playground and a side trampoline on the property that you’re welcome to use. Other things to note NUMBER OF GUESTS: Copper Beech Cottage is best suited for two guests. However, if you're travelling with a young child, we're happy to accommodate you: - If your child is under 2 years old, they stay for free. A portacot can be provided for a $25 hire fee. - If your child is 2 years or older, the standard additional guest fee applies, and we can provide either a portacot or fold-out bed at no extra cost. Please note that any extra bed will take up some of the cottage’s living space, so it may feel a little more snug. PET INFORMATION: We are very happy to have your pets stay but have a few things we would like you to abide by to make your stay run smoothly while travelling with pets. 1. A kennel is provided for outside dogs. Dogs are more than welcome to snuggle on the bed during the day or evening with their dog blanket but off the bed at night. 2. To make it easier for you, we will provide the following amenities for pets: a long lead, kennel, water and food bowls, a doggy bag, a hose for washing concrete, a dog bin, an old towel, and an old blanket for the couch. 3. There is a concrete area with a long lead for your dog to hang out in. However, our property is not fully fenced, so you will need to have them inside with you or on the long retractable lead provided outside if they are unattended. 4. To stop the smell, Please pick up after your dog and use the hose to wash it down on any hard surfaces. 5. There is a park across the road, which is great for dogs! Please use the hose and/or towel to clean them up before going inside to snuggle down We look forward to having you all stay!
