Welcome to Cabin Wolf! Our cabin has been in my family since I was 3 years old and I completed a full renovation in early 2020. Walk to the village & the lake or a two-minute drive; convenience store, bakery, restaurants and brewery 2 blocks away, even though our street is quiet. Convenient sledding on our block for the kiddos or you! Fenced back yard for your pups who are welcome for no additional fee. Bar & huge hot tub too! Wood burning fireplace and good privacy in both front & back yards. The space My dad bought this cabin when I was 3 years old and after being in my family for 40 years, I decided to partner up with my best friends, Carl and Lauri, along with their daughter, Ella to make this place ours. We concluded that the name 'Cabin Wolf' was appropriate to honor my dad, Wolfgang whose nickname was Wolf. At roughly 900 square feet, this 2 bedroom, one and a half bath home is where we come to actually relax! We are not a big investment company but instead, we put our hearts into making it a place for us to stay and enjoy and we invite you to do the same! The front porch has wood storage benches (for skis and snowboards) also making it a great perch for morning coffee. When you enter the living room, the house rules and WiFi info are posted by the front door. There are coat hooks and a rubber boot mat. The credenza contains spa towels for the hot tub, a collection of games, SO MANY records for the turntable and a stax collection as well. The fireplace is wood burning and has an ash compartment, a wood holder and a fireplace tool set. TV to the right of the fireplace. Behind the ‘floating’ bar is a mini-fridge. There is a cocktail shaker and a collection of glassware on hand. The thermostat for the heater is located behind the floating bar. The full bath contains a hair dryer and iron in the vanity and stocked with other necessities. We have equipped the kitchen with: stove, full-sized refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, Coffee pot, crock pot, blender, pots, pans, and utensils for you to create some culinary delights. We supply, coffee, tea, sugar, and ‘Wolf’ treats. The back door is fitted with a doggy door for your furry family members. This leads you to the back deck where you will find the hot tub. Our advice upon arrival is to turn it up to 103 degrees if you plan on using it. We normally will always have the spa close to temp prior to your arrival except for the rare time that our spa guy absolutely has to do a drain and fill the day of check in. In this case, it simply needs time to heat to full temp. This only happens between guests if the spa got really dirty from the last guests (usually the spa is drained and filled about once per month on average). There are magnetic towel hooks on the green fridge door. This was the door from the cabins original refrigerator hand painted by Genneva’s dad and Cabin Wolfs namesake, Wolfgang. There is a propane BBQ ready to go with bbq utensils located under kitchen sink. There is a table, chairs, doggy bowls, and a beverage cart for your enjoyment. The yard is fenced and gated for your canine family. Upstairs is the half bath so no need to make the trip downstairs in the middle of the night. Both bedrooms have high vaulted ceilings and open rooms with a lot of natural light. The second bedroom overlooks the deck and hot tub. There is a queen-sized bed and small dresser and chair with end tables. Bath towels will be at the end of your bed. The master bedroom has a King sized bed with a bed frame handmade by Wolfgang. There is also a twin day bed beneath the window, library nook with arm chair, armoire for your clothing. View of the tree line and rooftops! Gigantic flat-screen wall-mounted TV. There is a wooden train set for the kiddos of all ages with plenty of extra pieces in the basket. Front yard - Parking for two cars is permitted. There is space for a boat to fit also. Street parking not available. Guest access You get the entire property to yourself for your stay except owners closet and water heater closet. Registration details 1040-0065
