Set amidst the rainforest, overlooking the Coral Sea, this artist-inspired eco retreat is a place to rest, rejuvenate and be inspired by nature. Nestled on a hillside with no nearby neighbours, our home feels like a million miles away. The space Completely off-the-grid, and with limited mobile coverage (Telstra only), Cow Bay Hilltop Escape allows you to enjoy the simple things in life: an oversized deck, magnificent ocean views, salubrious sea-breezes and the sounds of the rainforest. Step away from the world, enjoy the solitude and rejuvenate. Cow Bay Hilltop Escape is the perfect place for those who want to take a break, get away from the rush of modern life, or spend quality time with loved ones. Built by artists to inspire their work, the property consists of a three-bedroom main house, a guest pavilion, and an artist’s studio, comfortably sleeping 7. Spend your days enjoying the glorious ocean views, meandering through our private bush tracks, or hunkering down and finishing off that project in the quiet solitude. We provide a fully-stocked kitchen (gas oven, gas stove, kettle, pots/pans, crockery/cutlery, coffee plunger, turkish coffee pot), a BBQ, games (scrabble, jenga, uno, chess, checkers, cards), a small library of books, binoculars (for nature watching), and a semi-stocked Art Studio. Guest access Guests can rent the Main House on its own (3 bedrooms, 3 beds, 1 bathroom, sleeps up to 5), or add on the Guest Pavilion (1 room, queen bed, sleeps up to 2). The Guest Pavilion has its own half-bathroom. All guests also have access to our partially-stocked Art Studio, approximately 800m of bush tracks throughout the property—and of course our wonderful views! Other things to note Given our remote location, mobile phone receiption is generally not available. However we do provide a landline phone for emergency and local calls. We do not provide internet access. As we're located in the rainforest you shouldn't be surprised if you see local critters (e.g. monitor lizards, melomys [native marsupial mice]) around the deck and house.
