Perfect Hood Canal getaway for two! As much as we love pets, this newly renovated studio has a strict no pet policy. We only accept up to 2 registered guests. Favorite things to do while staying here: -Enjoy a couple's Hood Canal getaway no matter what the weather is like! -Enjoy kayaks for only $25 per kayak (for your entire stay) with life vests and first aid kits. Ask Kerry to have the kayaks ready prior to your arrival. Kayaks are not available Nov-March due to inclement weather and safety concerns. -Relax, unwind, be captivated by nature. Hang out at your beach access or enjoy dinner while taking in the sunset. -Cook amazing meals in our modern well equipped kitchen! Bring your favorite recipe! We also have a new propane grill for delicious outdoor cooking. -Take a day trip hiking the Olympic National Forest or head over to Alderbrook Resort & Spa's trail system off of Beach Drive (across from the hotel). -Check out Union! You are only minutes away from Alderbrook Resort & Spa (SUPs, chartered cruises, patio dining, and much more), Robin Hood Restaurant & Pub (with its live music venue), Alderbrook Golf Course, Union Country Store, Union City Market and the Dalby Water Wheel. -Launch your boat at the Hood Canal Marina located only 1 mile away (fishing, shrimping, or just fun on your boat visiting Hoodsport, Tahuya, the Resort and more!). We have space to park your trailer. The sport court behind the home is not available to guests - but do enjoy your waterfront space across the street! Washington, Mt. Constance, and the Brothers rise across Hood Canal forming a breathtaking vista from almost any point in Union. It's no wonder that Union holds the title of the first artist colony in Washington. Enjoy live music throughout the neighborhood nearly every day of the week. Current attractions include working farms and roadside markets, the world-class Alderbrook golf course and clubhouse open to the public, Hood Canal Marina and public boat launch, the four-star spa and lodge Alderbrook Resort, award winning shopping at the Cameo Boutique & Wine Shop, organic gardens and public labyrinth at Harmony Hill Retreat Center, and of course, the deep saltwater fjord of Hood Canal. Today, visitors come for summers of sunshine and shellfish, and the annual return of the salmon. As well as the introspection of winter, to watch the herons out on the docks, motionless at high tide. There is always a wide variety of arts activities, as well as boating, fishing, hunting, shellfishing, hiking, kayaking and birding in Union. State Route 106 is the main road in Union, but some side roads are worth mentioning like Dalby road which takes you to our local bank, gas station and coffee shop. McReavy road takes you to the city of Shelton where you can find Walmart and larger grocery stores. Our famous Highway 101 heading north takes you to neighboring towns like Hoodsport, Lilliwaup and Hama Hama. Please use extra caution when exiting from Woodside, State Route 106 can be very busy during peak summer and fall months. NO additional guests allowed due to our small septic system - thank you! NO shellfish harvesting (visit Hama Hama Oyster Co!)
