The space This home is a beautiful example of Bay Area Mid-Century modern design, which we've renovated over the past decade. The views from the home and street are expansive, romantic, and relaxing. The layout of the home takes advantage of Bay Area indoor-outdoor living, with double wide sliding doors that open to the front deck, and a backyard patio area accessed from the dining room featuring synthetic grass that stays warm and dry regardless of the weather. Guest access The stylish home has many luxury upgrades including radiant heat, high-end ‘chef's kitchen’ appliances, wine fridge, Weber outdoor gas grill, outdoor lounge furniture including a patio dining table with seating for 6+ as well as double cantilevered patio umbrellas. Plus there are 2 e-bikes available for your use! Skip the car and take them up and down the hill to run errands, buy pastries or your daily baguette, and check out all the cafes and shops nearby. Inside, the home features several paintings and prints by Bay Area artists, skylights and glass barn-style doors, accordion patio doors connecting the kitchen to the deck, plus a 60" television screen with surround sound in the downstairs den/movie room. While the cool Bay breeze is generally all that's needed to keep the home comfortable in summer, the downstairs den, which is partially subterranean, is a great escape if there's ever a heat wave, as it stays as cool as a cave despite its sweeping views of the Bay. This room, which is equipped with a 60" television screen with surround sound system, and a new Room & Board sofa (with a queen size sofa-bed), is accessed separately from the rest of the house, through a door in the carport. If you're less interested in movies or staring at the Bay from the large windows in this room, but need to study or work, there's also an electronic adjustable height desk ready for you to connect. If you're visiting when we're experiencing cool, foggy nights, then just turn on the radiant in-floor heat, or cozy up underneath the heat lamp on the front deck, or curl up on the sofa in front of the oversized fireplace in the living room.
