Our private beach cottage is clean and close to everything that makes Newport Beach spectacular. Guests will be easily walkable to the sand, nearby shops, cafes, and an array of dining options. The cottage is equipped with stainless steel appliances, cookware, outdoor grill, AC/Heat and hi-speed internet. Onsite parking for one vehicle. We have beach towels/chairs, beach toys, a beach wagon and an umbrella for guest use. Minimum Rental Age is 25 yrs old. This cottage was built in 1930 and is one of the few original cottages situated on the Newport Beach peninsula. It boasts red clay tiles on the roof and a white exterior true to California Spanish style homes. We recently renovated the home to include modern upgrades adding comfort and style while still keeping the charm of an old California surf bungalow. Some of the charming features include hardwood floors throughout, dutch door, and lots of windows to brighten up the space. The kitchen is open concept and allows plenty of space to prepare food and share a meal at the dining room table with bench seating. The kitchen is stocked with spices, olive oil for cooking, a full set of cookware, cutlery, and drink ware. Bedroom 1: Queen size bed with access to the bathroom Bedroom 2: Twin bed trundle set-up (perfect for young children) also has access to the bathroom. We also offer a pack n'play for babies or toddlers and we can set this up upon request. The patio allows space to dine al fresco and includes a BBQ grill. We provide beach towels, beach chairs, beach toys, extra bath towels. Enjoy the Spanish Cottage all to yourself. Guests will have access to the entire place. This private bungalow is not attached to any other unit. The property includes a designated parking space behind the house, access to kitchen amenities, laundry room, central air/heat and a spacious front patio for lounging and enjoying the beach lifestyle. The front patio will comfortably accommodate 4 guests with access to a BBQ and patio table with chairs for outside casual dining. We will be happy to meet guests to deliver keys and answer any questions upon arrival. We will also be available throughout your stay in case you need anything, or have any questions about the area or neighborhood. We like to give guests their privacy so you won't see us unless you need something. The Spanish Cottage is located on a great street with wonderful neighbors. The location is removed enough for your privacy, but still a quick stroll to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. There are plenty of family friendly restaurants and eateries to enjoy on the boardwalk and around the cottage. The cottage is well situated near some of Newport's best surf breaks like Blackies and the best Newport jetties. Enjoy year round beach activities just outside the front door of your own beach cottage. Our location is walkable to many local attractions. However, many visitors enjoy renting bikes to get out and explore the peninsula. Uber and Lyft are also readily available for getting around the area. If you rent a car or have your own vehicle, we offer parking behind the garage for 1 car to park within the property line. Parking is strictly limited to our guest. • Please note that the city of Newport Beach charges a Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) charged to the guest, which is 10%. • We welcome guests recuperating from procedures performed at Hoag Hospital. We run a pet and dander free listing. Therefore, no pets of any kind are allowed on the premises at any time. The location of the cottage is perfectly situated between the boardwalk, dining and shopping. The cottage is located less than 2 blocks away from the sand, a short walk to the pier, bay, and restaurants/bars are within a quick stroll. Explore Lido Marina Village where you can dine at upscale eateries like Nobu or more casual venues like Malibu Farm or Bear Flag. At the end of a fun filled day, park your car in the designated space and unwind in your Newport beach getaway.
