Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary is set in a privately owned, 610 sq km property, in the stunning Northern Flinders Ranges, which has unique, geological, scenic and ecological significance. Guests can enjoy a range of activities including scenic flights over the local area, or further afield to Lake Eyre, viewing the stars of the Southern sky in 1 of the 2 observatories. Guided and self-drive 4WD tours, bush walking and enjoying watching native animals in their own habitat are also options. The Ridge Top Tour can be arranged, which takes visitors through the ancient granites and rock of the Flinders Ranges. This Eco-friendly property offers 3 accommodations types, including motel rooms, self-contained cottages and powered sites for caravans. Certain rooms have a seating area for your convenience. Rooms are equipped with a private bathroom. A flat-screen TV is available. There is a shared kitchen and a shared lounge at Arkaroola. At Arkaroola, you can enjoy a drink at Pick & Shovel Bar before a meal at the Native Pine Restaurant. There is an on-site store for basic supplies and a garage for minor repairs and fuel. A large swimming pool and a private airstrip are also on the property. These rooms include a bathroom, evaporative air-conditioning and heating. Guests have access to a communal kitchen with fridge, oven, stove top, utensils and microwave. All rooms back onto a large lounge and dining area. Cutlery, crockery and drinkware are not provided.
