Gorgeous, modern, private in-law apartment in park-like country atmosphere in the heart of Columbia on nearly 1 acre lot! Not some dingy room in a basement. This is a bright, spacious first floor apartment with its own entrance! Huge windows overlook a beautiful, peaceful setting surrounded by trees; with deer, birds, and other friendly wildlife frequenting our property. THANK YOU! ** The maximum occupancy we allow is 1 person, and NO guests, visitors, children, or pets are permitted. We have two cats that do not go inside the in-law apartment, however you will share the outdoor space with them and they are quite afraid of other animals. We cater to the solo traveler, working professional, who is looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay. We do NOT allow bookings from local people. You are renting the exclusive use of the 550 sq ft., spacious and modern, fully-equipped in-law apartment that is attached to our home. Yes, we live in the adjacent house; however you have your own completely private, separate outdoor entrance and there are no shared spaces. You get the best of both worlds -- we are nearby just in case you need us -- and we are happy to help! Otherwise, we stay out of your way and give you your privacy, of course! :) WHAT YOU GET IN YOUR PRIVATE APARTMENT: MASTER BEDROOM: (1) queen-sized platform bed with mid century modern tufted headboard, new 12" memory foam mattress, luxury linens, two bedside tables, reading lamp, dimmable recessed LED lighting throughout, flat screen smart HDTV with over 85 live local and cable channels included (or login to your Netflix, Hulu, etc.), 6-drawer dresser, closet, 2 large windows with gorgeous pastoral and majestic sunset views. MASTER BATHROOM: Full bathroom with shower, Egyptian cotton hand and bath towels; hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Please note the bathroom is en-suite (accessed from inside the bedroom). FULL KITCHEN: Full kitchen includes stainless steel LG refrigerator and freezer; stainless steel Haier electric range (glasstop stove and convection oven); microwave; toaster oven; electric kettle; coffee maker; sink; dishes; glasses; silverware; stainless steel pots and pans, and more. LIVING ROOM: Large windows offer tons of natural light; dimmable recessed LED lighting throughout; sofa; coffee table; flat screen smart HDTV with over 85 live local and cable channels (or login to your Netflix, Hulu, etc.). DINING AREA: Dining room table and chairs. WORK SPACE: Glass-top laptop desk and chair to remain productive on the go! WASHER & DRYER: YES, you even have your own private, in-unit, front loading washer and dryer included! HIGH-SPEED WIFI: Included throughout the in-law apartment. FREE PARKING: Private parking included for 1 car only, in designated space in front of the house. KEYLESS DIGITAL ENTRY: No keys to lose, and you can check-in and check-out on your own. HVAC: Central heating and air conditioning. The in-law apartment does NOT have its own separate thermostat. Only we can control the temperature for the entire house. You can, of course, open and close the floor vents, and/or large windows. We keep the thermostat at 68F in the winter and 74F in the summer to do our best to keep everyone comfortable. HOWEVER, if you're very picky about temperature (you know who you are!) and want to be able to control the thermostat on your own, please DO NOT book our place as we only want happy and comfortable guests. SECURITY CAMERAS: There are multiple security cameras outside the property, for your safety as well as ours. Other things to note We have a toddler (born December 2019). If you're a parent you understand that kids make noise sometimes. We think our place is quite peaceful in a very relaxing environment, but please do not book our place if you require complete silence at all times as we only want very happy and satisfied guests :)
