☆ Welcome to the Guesthouse at Starlight Arthouse! ☆ Conveniently situated along historic Highway 12 (Ash Street), we are an easy walk to the charming and creative Village of THREE OAKS, MICHIGAN. Our second floor guesthouse in our 1904 Victorian home is a well-situated, creative & comfortable 3 bedroom/2 bath space that can accommodate up to 8 people for your visit to Three Oaks and Harbor Country, Michigan! "A one-of-a-kind beautiful place, so cozy and like walking through a work of art!" is how a guest described the Guesthouse at Starlight Arthouse! We poured our love and passions for art, music, and book, into our 1500 sq ft. Guesthouse that is the entire second floor of our historic Three Oaks home. The Guesthouse has its own private entrance with keyless entry and is fully separated from our first floor living space. There is a designated parking area that easily accommodates four vehicles. The Guesthouse has three private bedrooms each with their own keyless entry. There are two full bathrooms and a comfortable living space that includes a living room area, dining/work area, fully equipped kitchenette with a coffee/tea cart, and a cozy “Moroccan” style lounge that doubles as two twin beds. The Guesthouse at Starlight Arthouse can accommodate up to ten guests with the set up of additional (provided) sleeping options in the living space. All guests are welcome to enjoy our shared front porch. Our family of four lives on site on the first floor. We share our 1st floor home with our small dogs and a sweet indoor kitty. You may hear us “living” downstairs, and with our home businesses and two busy kids, we come and go often. We very much value our guests' privacy, but we are always happy to help you with whatever you may need. Guests have access to the entire, private second floor Guesthouse. Each of the three bedrooms have keyless entry and are situated with a bed(s), dresser or wardrobe, closet and clothing rack, comfy chair, and a place for luggage. Each room has its own set of bath towels and an extra set of sheets. The Guesthouse has two full bathrooms: one in the hallway (with shower), and one in the living space (with shower/bath). The living space includes a living room with a 55 inch tv with Roku and a DVD player for guests to enjoy. The dining area is a place to share meals, work remotely, play games (provided) or make a little art (drawing supplies provided). A guitar is available for some strummin’, and there are small libraries of curated books throughout the Guesthouse. Full meals can be made in the "cutest ever" well-stocked kitchenette ♡ Just want to grab some water, coffee or a cup of tea? The refrigerator and coffee/tea cart are conveniently located right inside the door of the community living space. The “Moroccan” style lounge is a cozy area to have a visit and enjoy a beverage and snacks or to just lounge and read a book. Two people can sleep in the lounge as the seats double as "twin beds". The front porch is situated with two rocking chairs next to the Guesthouse entrance and is reserved for our guests. Our onsite 2nd floor Guesthouse is set up for "contactless" check in with a separate keyless entry for easy coming and going. We do ask our guests to be respectful of other guests who may be staying at Starlight Arthouse, and please be mindful that our family lives on the first floor. You may hear our daughter practicing piano or singing and dancing to Justin Bieber in our driveway, Ryan and son playing guitar, or a random bark of our rescue dogs. If you hear us enjoying our side of the front porch, you are always welcome to say "hello"! We love meeting and getting to know our guests, but also respect their privacy. We work on our property and come and go often, but we do our best to be available for our guests. We check and respond to our messages on AirBnb consistently. We love our 1904 historic home and all the quirks that come along with it, including the rolling “settled” floor in the upstairs hallway and bedroom doors that aren’t completely “plumb” (may need to give a little “push” to close them). Living in the “country” (we are “village” country ;) our older home may have visitors including ladybugs, pesky stink bugs and an occasional spider. Please let us know if you need assistance with anything while enjoying your stay in our vintage home. We clean and sanitize according to AirBnb Covid-19 standards. We ask our guests to be mindful of Covid-19 safe practices when interacting with guests outside their immediate group. Cleaning supplies and sanitizer are well-stocked for the convenient use by our guests. Check in is 3 PM EST and Check out is NOON EST. If arriving earlier, we may be able to accommodate luggage drop off. Starlight Arthouse is within “walking” distance to everything Three Oaks has to offer (You can view much of the village from the second floor Guesthouse!). Our little village is home to a wonderful creative community which includes both a performing arts (The Acorn Theater) and independent film theater (The Vickers Theater), popular event spaces, shoppes, art galleries, antique stores, a distillery, and restaurants. Three Oaks hosts what is claimed to be “The Biggest Flag Day Parade in the World" in June and also the Apple Cider Century Bike Ride every fall! Starlight Arthouse is conveniently located “three doors down” from Harding’s, our local market. Three Oaks is part of Harbor Country, Michigan, featuring beautiful hiking trails; gorgeous Lake Michigan beaches; art galleries and antique stores; a “Grape & Grain” trail; and a variety of events hosted throughout the year. Starlight Arthouse is five miles away (10 min.) from Four Winds Casino; 9.5 miles (18 minutes) from Warren Dunes State Park; 18 miles (25 min.) from Michigan City, IN; 25 miles (35 min.) from Notre Dame; and about 75 miles (1 ½ hours) outside Chicago. Conveniently located along the historic Highway 12, guests have easy access to not only the quaint Village of Three Oaks, but also all of the towns that comprise Harbor Country, MI. The charming towns of Buchanan and Niles east of us are within a 30 minute drive. We are an easy stop off the I94 @ exit 4A on your way to destinations in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, and Illinois. We offer free onsite parking for our guests, and there is available village parking across the street. The Guesthouse at Starlight Arthouse is situated as a comfortable place for guests to stay and gather and visit our area. Our home has a long history of welcoming family and friends, is an extension of our hospitality, and has good energy. We have thoughtfully set up the space as a Guesthouse to be graciously shared with our guests. This is in the spirit of our love for travel and stays at similar spaces. Meeting new people on our travels has been one of our favorite experiences! We encourage our guests to thoroughly enjoy their gatherings, but to be respectful as guests on the second floor of our home. PLEASE NO LOUD PARTIES, LOUD MUSIC, or ROUGH HOUSING. No unregistered guests may be on the property without prior notice and permission. We have set up the community living space to support considerate entertaining with a buffet space equipped with serving dishes and bar ware. A variety of glasses is also available in the kitchenette and the dining area hutch. The Guesthouse at Starlight Arthouse is also a great space for small retreats and meetings.
