Merlot Cottage is self-contained with two bedrooms, each with a double beds It has a large open plan living and dining area, with a slow combustion wood burning fire. The cottage also features reverse cycle air-conditioning, ceiling fans and electric blankets for cool winter nights. The kitchen is equipped with a stove top, microwave and fridge (no oven). There is a gas BBQ and your own outdoor dining area on the patio, where you can enjoy the glorious view of the sun setting over the vineyard. The space Our Cellar Door is open for wine tastings and sales daily from 10.00-5.00pm. All our wines are single vineyard and only available through our cellar door. If you are visiting the area for one of the many popular concerts McCaffrey's Estate is a dedicated stop for the transfer coaches to and from the concert venues. We are also only 10 minutes from Hunter Valley Gardens, and a short distance from the many golf courses in the area. Guest access Guests have access to the outdoor saltwater pool over the summer months to cool off and relax. We also welcome you to wander through the vineyard at your leisure, enjoy a picnic amongst the vines. You may also like to sit and watch the sunset over the dam, listen to the sound of the birdlife and watch the kangaroos hop by. MAXIMUM 4 guests in the cottage per booking.
