The space While many if not t most listings are purely commercial (all-IKEA, no plants, no books, no art, no personal touch), AirBnB's original intention was to allow people a richer experience of place by staying in other people's homes. This is what you get here. For example, we don't have cable because we'd never watch TV in a place like this. However, you get all the perks: mature plants, a baby grand, an enviable library, etc. So those after "commercial perfect" are better of at a hotel. Otherwise, we delight in our home -- it casts a 'rest' spell on us the moment we walk through the door -- and we hope it enriches your holiday experience, too. Private back deck fitted for dining and relaxing: BBQ, dining set, lounge set, 2 umbrellas. Fully equipped kitchen. Studio digital Yamaha baby grand piano. Wood-burning stove in the living room. Mature plants throughout to nurture your soul. Original artwork. Enviable library (fiction, history, art, design, politics, spirituality, encyclopedias; NatGeo, O, and AirBnB magazines). An easel with basic art supplies should a creative spark strike. Puzzles and table games (How to Host A Murder, Yahtzee, Monopoly, Life, Uno). Beach towels, picnic blanket, and basket. A garage gym equipped for cardio (treadmill) and strength training includes exercise mats and boxing gloves. Wildlife abounds, incl. hummingbirds and deer that often rest on the property (so you'll probably come within just a few feet at some point). DVD player (no cable TV). Wii (and a few Wii games). Washer and dryer (detergent and Bounce provided). A crib that can be assembled upon request. We love our home and hope you will, too! Guest access The guests will have access to the entire house, except for the walk-in closet in the master bedroom. Other things to note The indoor stairs are polished wood, absolutely no running is safe. The host bears absolutely no liability for any accidents. Most of the house is wood, so sound carries. We've learned to walk softly until everybody's up in the morning. Also, consider bringing earplugs. For guests with pet allergies: while the house is professionally cleaned, a dog and a cat have lived here. With ample windows on all sides, we love that our home is bathed in light. Except for sheer curtains in Bedroom #3, none of the windows have curtains, so please consider bringing an eye mask if you require darkness to sleep in.
