The space This mid-century gem is located in Yucca Valley, within driving distance to Joshua Tree National Park, Historic Pioneertown, and Palm Springs. The exquisite poolside retreat is situated high on the valley walls with beautiful desert views. It is located on a separate lot, as part of a larger estate where the owners reside in the main house. Landscaping and change in elevation maintains the private enclave from which you enjoy the pool and serenity of the desert, without unwanted contact from us. The home features One Bedroom, One Bathroom, Kitchen and Living Room, Utility/Washer Dryer Room, and a Pool restroom. Constructed of polished concrete floors, rustic cmu block walls, and original steel paned windows, the house oozes with style. The Bedroom is complete with a queen sized bed, 32" Samsung led tv and Bluray player. The Living Room is equipped with a pull out sofa bed, leather occasional chairs, and a 55" Samsung SmartTV, AppleTV, Bluray, and Bluetooth Sound System. A trio of barstools belly up to the kitchen bar that has everything you need to cook with; Stovetop, Microwave, Toaster, and refrigerator/Wine Cooler. Original 1950's cabinets and stove still function perfectly and add to the charm. Dining for 4, both inside and out give visitors the flexibility of a cozy meal in, or dining under the stars. Gas BBQ is also poolside for grilling. Washer/Dryer room is off the pool for laundry needs. The bathrooms and poolside changing rooms are all original with the powder blue tiles, and classic fixtures. Designer and classic vintage modern furniture make this space fun and functional. Though smoking is not allowed inside the residence, you may smoke outdoors. However, Vaporizer Pens and eCigarettes are allowed both inside and out. Bright orange mid-century outdoor fireplace for those chilly desert nights. Bring your own firewood, and relax under the stars. The pool is surrounded by a huge flagstone patio and features teak lounge chairs for sunbathing, and hammocks for dozing off. Saguaro Cactus, Joshua Trees, Yucca Plants, Jojoba Bushes, huge boulders and other native landscaping wrap around the property and give visitors a great sense of our desert. As owners, we live on the other lot, and are available to assist in your stay if needed, or leave you to your own devices depending on your taste and needs. We have a small dog, Clifford who loves new friends, so other smallish dogs that are potty trained are welcome! We have a smaller fence within the fence for Clifford and his new friend to hang out in when they aren't inside with their owners. Whether you are here to write a novel, relax, or just getaway, you can gain rejuvenation and needed inspiration staying on property. Conversely, if you are looking to hike or climb Joshua Tree National Park, experience a sound bath at the Landers Integratron, check out some live music and our best BBQ at Pappy and Harriets in Pioneertown, or shop antiques in Old Town Yucca Valley, this home is perfect as a jumping off point. They are also doing construction this Summer 2025, so I do not know how or when that will impact your stay. We do allow up to 2 dogs, and thus charge a $50 fee per dog. Rules are as follows: - Dogs are not allowed on the furniture. - Bring dog bed for your pooch. - Dogs must be crated if left alone in the house. - You must pick up after your dog. Photography or filming beyond personal use is strictly prohibited NO PARTIES We fine $100 per person for ANY additional guests not included in your reservation.
