We are a folk-art version of a boutique hotel, with many common area nooks and crannies, indoors and out. The Owl Room has a discounted rate for monthly stays during the off-season, March through May. We are a quiet, relaxing place for digital nomads and we have one gig fiber internet. You can always find a private area here in addition to your large commodious room. The entire first floor of our house is dedicated to our guests. You can lounge and read in the library, relax in the living room or the solarium or have coffee in the cafe. We have three outdoor patio areas with beautiful views of our unique neighbors and the San Juan Mountains. There is a washing machine and dryer on the lower floor. We share the ample kitchen with guests. We are located 10 min from downtown Montrose. From here it's 35 min to Black Canyon National Park, 35 min to Orvis Hot Springs & Ridgway, 75 min to Telluride, and 90 minutes to Crested Butte. We are wheelchair accessible. We are pet friendly. We have plenty of parking, including parking for one trailer and one RV. We will try to greet you upon your arrival, but if not we will give you instructions for self check-in. If you want privacy you’ve come to the right place. If you like getting to know new people, the hosts who live on site will be glad to chat with you and tell you about fun things to see and do in the area. We are on the very southeastern corner of town, the last house on our road, surrounded by farms and ranches. We have 75 acres of high desert sagebrush with ridge paths offering stunning 360 degree views of the valley. We also have a large menagerie of farm animals if you care to seek them out.
