Zion Park Cabin Fever

Our cabin is located on Zion Ponderosa Resort (Zion Ponderosa Ranch) property right on the Zion National Park fence line. Come enjoy the peaceful serenity of our 4 acre property filled with Ponderosa Pine, junipers and a variety of other plant and animal life. This Zion home is perfect for accommodating up to 6 guests on vacation. Low loft for kids. Come enjoy Zion seclusion while still being close to Zion National Park, Grand Canyon, Bryce. The space RELAX AND BASK IN THE SOLITUDE of Zion National Park… We are located on the east border of Zion. Venture into the back-country of Zion park right from the cabin's backyard or you’re just 18 minutes from the east gate entrance by car. Zion National Park's Observation Point and/or Cable Mountain trail heads are just minutes away. Our Zion Cabin property is part of an award winning 4,000 acre Zion Ponderosa Ranch resort loaded with amenities. The overhead loft is best suited for children. The East Rim Trailhead is 5 minutes walking distance away from the property and the East Rim Trail is 10 miles in total length. Depending on which trail you take, these hikes can be mild to strenuous with durations of 1/2 hour to 6 hours plus. East Rim Trail links with Weeping Rock, Cable Mountain, Deertrap Mountain, Echo Canyon, Hidden Canyon and Observation Point. Orderville Canyon and Zion Narrows trailheads are 20 and 40 minutes away. Elevation change down into the canyon is roughly 2,150 feet. We're conveniently located to walk out into Zion rather than hike up from the bottom. Guests have been known to walk down into the Zion Canyon floor area (weeping rock, lower Zion Narrows, etc.) then catch a free park shuttle before taking pre-arranged transportation back to the cabin. The mountains plateau we are on is over 6,500 feet vs 4,000 feet on the park floor, which means while Springdale is 98 F/36 C degrees, you are at 85 F/29 C degrees at the cabin (9-13 degree difference). It can be cool in the evening and during the summer warm to hot usually during the daytime hours. It's always refreshing to step inside the air conditioned cabin after a day hiking. Late summer/early fall (July to October) has afternoon showers that last an hour or so. The cabin is located equidistant between both Orderville and Springdale. Guest access You have complete access to the Zion National Park cabin, property, washer / dryer, mud room, large parking area, local cell service, Satellite TV, propane outdoor grill, 4 level front deck with covered gazebo, large paved patio with raised fire pit, fire wood, roasting sticks, picnic tables, outdoor fireplace, RV parking with water and 50 Amp hook-up (extra charge) as-well-as a children's swing and play area. The Zion Cabin kitchen is fully equipped for all cooking needs including fridge, stove, microwave, oven, water dispenser, pots, pans, cups, plates, utensils, crock pot, coffee maker, toaster, griddle, etc. The upstairs loft bedroom has limited headroom access and is well suited for young children or adults. Beds have fresh linen, blankets and pillows. Be sure to bring your own food, clothes and personal care items. It's recommended that you shop for groceries in Kanab, Springdale, Panguitch or the St George area prior to arrival at the Zion Cabin. You’ll enjoy relaxing in the Zion cabin, the front deck or around the campfire in the back. Bring your art supplies for painting, your books and magazines or your binoculars to view the birds and animals that frequent the areas around our Zion Ponderosa Cabin.
