Sierra Mountains Retreat

On the edge of the Stanislaus national forest in a quiet neighborhood, your private room is at the far end of the home with a King memory foam bed; TV with Netflix, Hulu and Amazon, WIFI; and your private bathroom is right outside your door. The space Our home is in a quiet wooded neighborhood high in the mountains above downtown Sonora. The deck catches the morning sun and offers a lovely area for breakfast before heading out to see the sights. There's a great level walk by our house that travels through the forest for miles along a 100-year-old irrigation ditch. In the evening, you can relax in the spa or just read and listen to music on the deck or by the wood stove. Guest access You'll have full use of the deck, living room, spa, & kitchen privileges (7am-8pm). We generally hang out in the family room in the evenings and watch TV. You are welcome to spend private time watching TV in your room, or enjoy just sitting in the living room by the fire or stargazing on the deck. During your stay We'll be glad to advise you about activities in the area and share our tips regarding hikes and attractions in the area. You will be our only guests. We like to hear about your plans and get to know you, but if you prefer to dash in and out on your way to activities, that's fine, too. Other things to note We have a very friendly and playful small (19 lb) dog who will bark madly when you arrive (that's his job as watch dog) but is harmless and friendly once you meet.... so he may want to become your friend during your stay. We are dog friendly, so you can bring your pup with you. Our only request is that your pup is also dog friendly and gets along well with playful dogs like ours who may pester to play.
