Indigo House Poolside Retreat

Indigo House Poolside Retreat is a bright, beachy & bohemian space that is perfect for your stay in beautiful Charleston! This one bedroom pool house apartment is located in the heart of James Island, just 10 minutes from the downtown peninsula and 15 minutes from Folly Beach. It can sleep up to four adults and includes a full kitchen with incredible outdoor space including a salt water pool and a gas fire pit. While the pool house is located in the owners' backyard, it feels very private. The space The spacious interior can sleep up to 4 adults in a king size bed and queen sofa bed. A note on groups of 5: this space is really designed for a max of 4 guests but we often get messages from people wanting to add a 5th guest. It is possible to sleep five, and we provide a twin air mattress for the 5th person, but please be aware that it will be a tight squeeze. Guests have a full kitchen with both indoor and outdoor eating areas. The backyard is a tropical oasis with a salt water pool and lush landscaping. The deck has a wisteria covered pergola with hammocks, a cozy lounge area and a dining area. There is a patio with a propane fire pit by the pool. **If you are booking over the 4th of July please note that we have a large pool party every year. You're welcome to join!** Amenities include: •Salt water pool with sun loungers. We don't close the pool down for the winter but it is not heated. We typically swim from late March-October but this varies year to year. •Propane fire pit with Adirondack chairs. •Indoor and outdoor dining areas. •Kitchen with large refrigerator, stove, microwave, blender, toaster and coffee maker. The deck has a gas grill. •48" Roku TV where guests can log into their own streaming channels or watch movies or shows on our complimentary Hulu & Netflix accounts. •Bath and beach/pool towels. •King size bed with memory foam/pillow top mattress topper and a cozy down alternative comforter. •Queen size sofa bed with brand new memory foam mattress and cozy down alternative comforter. •Quiet and cold air conditioners that can be programmed for each room. •Yoga mat provided. If you're interested, we can assist you in arranging a private class on our deck with a local yoga instructor. If you are interested in this service, please message us in advance. •Beach chairs, umbrella, beach basket and cooler are all provided for your use! Details on our child/pet policy: Infants and children over 7 are fine. The house is not child-proofed and it is very easy for young children to access the pool area through the sliding door so we are not comfortable renting to families with small children due to this liability. If you are requesting to stay with children please include them in your guest total when making your reservation and include their ages in your reservation notes. Guest access The pool house is located separate from our home in our detached garage structure and the entire apartment is private. There is ample free parking and a private guest entry through a back gate. The backyard deck, pool and patio are shared with the owners. Part of the yard is fenced off for our family’s private use, please do not go into the fenced off area. Other things to note Laundry service is available on request. As long as we are in town during your stay we will be happy to wash and dry laundry for you in our house. If we are out of town during your stay this service is unavailable.
