Vacation home De Ketse Steenuil is located in a rural area and is a quirky and colorful accommodation for 2/3 people. The detached accommodation is fully self-sufficient with all comforts. The living room is south-facing and overlooks a large garden (500m2) with mature trees. Many ecological materials were used in the renovation, such as walls with clay stucco in the bedroom, bathroom and toilet. As a result, the whole has a particularly pleasant atmosphere. The space All rooms are on the ground floor. The living room with pellet stove (free pellets) is in open connection with the large kitchen. It is fully and completely furnished. Furthermore, the bedroom has a beautiful and colorful bathroom "en-suite" with walk-in shower and sink with Mexican sink. The separate toilet and washing machine room is located in the entrance of the bedroom. The bedroom and the bathroom have an electrically operated skylight with accessories (pleated curtain, roller shutter and sun-resistant curtain). All rooms have underfloor heating except the bedroom. A nostalgic cast iron radiator was chosen there. Guest access The entire vacation home is detached on a yard and adjacent to a private storage room. The entrance is at the back. You can get there via a footpath along the orchard, where you have a clear view from the kitchen. Upon arrival, you can ring the bell at the main house. I will give you a tour and further inform you. Other things to note The owl box hangs in the large pear tree in the back garden. The female owl (and often the larger male) can usually be seen sitting early in the morning or late at night. When the owl has its annual nest, there is a lot of activity in the pear tree from May to July. Nice to see how the young owls learn to jump from branch to branch or get their first flying lesson!
