A former 18th century coaching inn, originally part of the Earl of Ancaster's Welsh estate, this comfortable, family-run guest house is full of historic character. Resting in the center of the Dolwyddelan, Elen's Castle offers a unique place to relax at the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. Retaining its original character and many fittings, Elen’s Castle has ensuite guestrooms to suit all tastes, including a four-poster room overlooking the Lledr Valley and River, a family suite and accommodations to suit walking groups. We have a cozy bar and guest lounge where you can enjoy a drink by the wood burning stove after a day in the stunning scenery of Snowdonia. It has a Green Tourism award recognizing its minimal impact on the Snowdonia National Park, and an award for promoting local produce, as it serves Welsh gin, vodka and craft ale.
