In the Sunnyside area just a couple of miles south of Tahoe City, Fir Forest Cottage is within super easy walking distance to the Lake, bike and paddleboard rentals, a variety of restaurants and a great little neighborhood market. The immaculately maintained cabin has 3 bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, and accommodates up to 6 guests. The family dog is also welcome with prior approval. Enter onto the first floor with the cozy living room featuring leather couch and love seat, flat screen TV and pellet woodstove; adjacent dining area complete with wet bar; fully-equipped kitchen with laundry facilities; one Queen bedroom; and a full bathroom in the hallway. The second level holds two more Queen bedrooms with a full bathroom between. Please note, this bathroom has a bathtub but no shower equipment. Out front, there’s a 1 car garage and paved driveway for 2 more cars. Out back, there’s a spacious deck with a picnic table and benches and a gas grill (available in summer only). From this central West Shore location, it’s easy to get out and explore the gorgeous scenery and outdoor activities that make Lake Tahoe famous. World-class skiing and snowboarding is just minutes away at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Homewood Mountain Resort. A paved bike path leads north into Tahoe City or South towards the town of Homewood. Take the easy hike up to the top of nearby Eagle Rock for a full view of the lake. Three mind-blowingly beautiful state parks are a short drive south – Sugar Pine Point, DL Bliss and Emerald Bay.
