Description
My place is more like a tree house next to a lake with a foundation making it an house. Warm, inviting and updated 1950s lake house with 100+ feet of private Lake WInona frontage, private sandy beach and lake and foothills views. 3 Beds. Kitchen opens to the living and dining area. Loads of cool places to hang out, look out, and read. BBQ on the awesome deck off of the the main house above the beach or the patio at the waters edge. Great light, privacy, charm and space. Perfect for families. The space My house is well designed for families. The kitchen opens to the living areas and the living room and porch overlook the beach and lake. Ceiling fans on the the main floor move the beautiful lake air throughout. The master bedroom feels like you are in a tree house sleeping in a king sized bed in a wood paneled room surrounded by hemlock and pines. There is a cool bunk room with 1 full bed and 2 twin beds - the full bed is separated by a door facing the water. The house sits on over an acre of land and is surrounded on the lake side by trees. Foliage, sun rises and swimming muskrats, shooting stars or just wind on the water will entertain you. The full bath with shower and tub is on the main level. There is a brand new modern 1/2 bath on the second floor where the other 2 bedrooms are. The plumbing is cabin style so long showers will drain the hot water tank. Please be mindful and flush and use water respectfully. Sheets and towels will be provided, please let me know if you plan to bring your own. Please use black trash bags provided and make sure to put trash in the bin outside. Clear bags for recycling and not clear for trash. Guest access Guests have the whole house to them selves. the beach, dock and patio are private too. The dock is 16 feet. Our lake is great for water skiing and ideal for fishing. A small boat <20ft would be thrilled to hang out at my dock. There is also parking for at least 5 cars. Other things to note There are 2 grocery stores near by and tons of restaurants. A pro tip: bring some groceries with you. You are not going to want to get back in your car once you get here. We have awesome farmers markets, and have pharmacies and any other services you may want. I am a pescatarian and somewhat of a foodie. Please ask me for advise if you want it. I hang out with carnivores so know the best spots to get meat around here too. The nearest big town is Meredith. Ashland is small and has a totally small food market. There is toilet paper, tissues, cleaning supplies, and a fully stocked kitchen with coffee maker and small microwave. Sheets and towels will be provided. There is a laundromat about 8 minutes away - on your way to meridith or to adventure - where you can drop off laundry. They do wash, dry, fold and we use them ourselves. Laundry overwhelms the lake septic. I cant help you with this but at this end of the lake there are several really loud owls. They have a thing about singing owl concerts at night with their other feathered friends. During Loon season, Ma and Pa loon sing too. Their music echoes across the lake. Really amazing. There is a statewide burn in effect so please no campfires.
