Your hosts are Mark and Jen. Jen works on call as an in home care giver for the elderly. Mark works from home. Both have held a number of interesting positions ranging from Dairy farming to sales and all sorts in between. The property has a large section and an orchard with fresh fruit when in season, a very friendly pet sheep, Dippy, who mows the orchard and is fond of a slice of bread or two, 5 cats, 4 occasionally industrious chickens. Room is light and sunny, there is ample parking. The space Our property is hidden away down a private drive giving one a sense of being away from the hustle and bustle yet only a short 10 min walk to the information centre and main shopping centre of town with its many interesting and diverse shops and eateries. There are many wonderful walks in the area including the famous Karangahake Gorge walk/cycle way. Experience the Goldmine experience. Tours depart daily from the information centre.. We are located only 11km from Waihi Beach and 30km from Whangamata. Waihi is centrally located making it the perfect location to base your stay on and around the Coromandel, Bay of Plenty area. Breakfast is supplied in the rooms and is continental with a selection of homemade jams, bread, cereals, yoghurt, juice etc. Any special dietary needs please let us know and we will endeavour to supply. There is a cot and high chair available upon request. Guest access Guests are welcome to wander and relax in the garden, pick a bit of fruit if the time is right. The Spa pool is available to use but it would be appreciated if the spa was not used after 10pm. CURRENTLY THE SPA IS OUT OF COMMISSION AND UNDER REPAIR. The laundry is available for guest use and there is also a drier, just ask either Jen or Mark. During your stay There will usually be someone home to greet guests personally upon their arrival and answer any questions. If for some reason we are unable to be there to greet you upon your arrival we will email and give easy directions to access your room.
