For more photos of the farm, check out our social accounts @arandufoodforest Guest access While the main house is off limits for guests, visitors are welcome to enjoy the 3.5 acre grounds which are in the VERY early stages of becoming a permaculture food forest. We have been planting fruit trees and bushes all over the property to mix in among the existing flora. As the food forest begins to grow, please help yourself to any of the produce growing in the garden or on trees. We are currently in the process of constructing a greenhouse in front. If it has been completed by your visit, you are welcome to step inside. We have brought our citrus love with us from South America. Varieties of citrus, coffee, papaya, and cinnamon trees will have you dreaming of the tropics from our temperate climate in the PNW. Other things to note **In light of the Covid-19 situation, I want to assure guests that I am taking extra precautions. I always clean the guest suite thoroughly between guests, however, to make it a safer and cleaner place for guests, I am airing out the suite between reservations, I am disinfecting all surfaces that are touched, and I wear gloves while I clean. All linens are always washed between guests, but I am taking the extra step of using clean linens that were not used by the previous guest and have been stored in a clean and safe place. If you have any additional requests that relate to Covid-19, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate. An example would be leaving the bed unmade so that I minimize my handling of the linens. One farm safety note: Please do not open any closed gates. We have different animals in different paddocks and if a gate is closed, it needs to remain so. Let us know if you want to visit any one specific animal. Please be aware that there is a house dog, Farley, and three friendly livestock guardian dog (large!). They may bark when you first arrive, all are extremely friendly. Take care not to let them out of the fenced yard as they will happily follow you on all of your adventures. One of the three livestock guardian dogs is currently recovering from a persistent ear ache and is a little grumpier than normal. While he recovers, please do not go into any of the paddocks where the large dogs are without permission. Farley (the "smaller" house dog) is always happy to pick up the slack in providing a petting surface for dog lovers :) .
