Sleep among the orchards and vineyards of Colorado's wine country. There is a lavender field behind the property that is in full bloom in early July. Palisade is ground zero for the largest concentration of wineries in the state. You can base out of here for hiking, snow sporting or cycling, too. Also just FYI, in late September and early October I have crickets in the house, in case you freak out about such things. Otherwise, this old adobe is quaint and charming.
