If you want to have fun at the lake then this is the place to come. Best location on Lake for Privacy and Swimming and Fishing (Bass and Stripers from tournaments have been weighed and released at marina in this cove so fishing is excellent) and Boating (Dock has electricity,lights,boat lift and cleats). It is perfect for getaways or vacations with a clean and deep water cove at Smith Mountain Lake for swimming, boating, fishing or relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery. One of few coves with fresh water flowing into cove from Hales Ford stream so water is not murky or stale. Great views from both floors. The house has been newly renovated with new bathrooms(with heated floors), new carpet, new wooden floors, skylight and wooden beams. There are 3 bedrooms (2 bedrooms on main floor and 1 bedroom on lower level) and 2 full bathrooms with heated floors. There is a large deck overlooking a breath taking wide water view. Two of the three bedrooms have connecting bathrooms. One bedroom has a trundle bed that can convert into a queen bed or two single beds. There is also a sleeper sofa bed and another trundle bed (can be a single bed or two beds) in the family room downstairs with an incredible view of the lake. Cot available for any room. You can look at sunrises from the master bedroom and it opens onto main deck. The house has excellent internet connection with unlimited wifi. We have xfinity smart TV. There is an open style living room with a gas fireplace and adjacent dining area perfect for relaxing and the kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, glasses, spices etc. There is also an outside gas grill available. Kitchen has a coffee bar with a Kuerig coffee machine as well as a drip coffee machine and a french press. There is a dishwasher. The house has two refrigerators, one in the kitchen and a larger one w/ice maker in the laundry room down stairs. The lower level of the house offers an open area with a wood burning fireplace and an incredible view of the lake. There is also an outside area to enjoy some privacy on the lower level. A fully equipped laundry room is downstairs with washer, dryer and sink for wet clothes. For entertainment there are lots of indoor and outdoor games and huge selection of movies from which to choose and foosball in the game room. There is a large deck with table and plenty of chairs for eating outdoors or rocking chairs for resting. Deck can also be closed off with the baby gate provided to enclose small children or pets. (Pets welcome). Big yard with a fire pit to use near the dock. The dock has outside lights for enjoying the lake after dark. There are 6 kayaks (5 single and 1 Double) and life vests for guests. Spring and Summer fishing is excellent. Stripers and large mouth bass have been caught off of the dock. Bass from fishing tournaments were weighed in marina in this cove and released so fishing is awesome! Water is 8-10 feet off of dock for swimming and fun. House is on a wide water cove for boating activities. Water is clear and clean (not murky or green) since it is on a wide deep clean cove and is fed from fresh water spring. You can often see the water flowing in the evening or morning. Location is perfect to watch family boating, tubing or skiing since cove is clean, deep and wide to enjoy boating activities right in front of dock. There is a 6 ft. by 12 ft water mattress for the lake and can hold up to six people for those who love the water. Lake house is secluded and peaceful and yet only 30-45 minutes from Roanoke and Lynchburg. It is also conveniently located just minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, marinas, shopping, putt-putt and golf and is only a short drive to Hales Ford Bridge. If you are planning on swimming, boating or fishing of any kind then this is the best location on the lake. Cove is big enough to go kayaking and not have to get in the main channel where the motor boats are. Also, you can kayak up into Hales Ford creek. If you want to swim around the dock then the water is best (deep and clean) for swimming. If you want to fish from the dock then the location is great for fishing with large mouth bass and stripers having been caught. Smith Mountain Lake Park is nearby with lots of hiking trails, picnic areas and beach and Homestead Creamery is only 15 minutes drive and the ice cream is delicious. Quaint and old fashioned ice cream shoppe with fresh local farm milk, ice cream, sandwiches & local gourmet items. House is disinfected after each stay. Great location for families as there is shallow water to the left of the dock where the floater is and deeper water to the right of the dock.
