We welcome you to come and experience Goldberry Woods! We feature an 8-br inn, three cottages, and over 30 acres of gardens, woods, microfarm, orchard, trails, and river. Truly a beautiful space! The beautifully crooked four-poster bed in this room is made from sassafras, a tree that is found all over Goldberry Woods. This sunny, second floor room has cathedral ceilings, carpeted floors, a ceiling fan, and shares a large balcony with American Hornbeam. The room includes over 430 sq feet of space with a custom queen-sized bed with luxury linens, two-person Jacuzzi and shower, gas fireplace, leather chair, desk, ceiling fan, WiFi, USB hub, and a large flat screen TV with Satellite and Blu-Ray/DVD player. There are several common spaces in the inn for guests to use, including the living room (cozy up by the fire, play a board game, look through restaurant menus, or enjoy wine and snacks in the evening), sun room where you can relax with a book or borrow a DVD, kitchen and dining area with homemade snacks and drinks with a fridge for guests to use, and our outdoor deck to sit and enjoy the gardens and watch the birds by the feeders. Guests are welcome to explore our 30-acre property including walking our trails through the woods or along the river, kayaking or canoeing down the river, borrowing a bicycle to explore the beaches and back roads, walk through our Microfarm to see what is growing, sit by a campfire on a cool evening, or play a game of bags, bocce, badminton, or volleyball. We typically check guests in, give them a quick tour, and answer any questions they may have (and can give suggestions on local restaurants, activities, wineries, microbrews, shops, etc). We can be as interactive or private as guests desire. We are one mile to the beaches of Lake Michigan (with incredible and peaceful sunsets)! Borrow our bikes to explore the backroads and nearby beach towns. We are in the center of Harbor Country and are very close to fantastic restaurants, wineries, microbrews, an organic distillery, botanical gardens, art studios, antique shops, a large casino, outlet shopping, golf, and of course the beaches and dunes along Lake Michigan! We are 5 minutes from the Amtrak station in New Buffalo, 30-40 minutes from South Bend airport, an hour form downtown Chicago, and about 1.5 hours from O'Hare airport. Use of bicycles, canoes, kayaks, trails, and firewood is included in the price. No additional charges.
