Lakeview Cottage has two bedrooms with 6 single beds and shared shower, toilet, kitchenette, patio. Ideal for groups touring or working in the Monkey Bay area The space Gateway Cottages are clean, safe, affordable and environmental friendly accommodation located on the Gateway Transformation Campus, Chilombo village, Monkey Bay, Southern Malawi. Experience Malawi hospitality in this humble African environment. We are offering lodging as part of our hospitality courses facilitated at Gateway Transformation Campus, a Christian training facility for the social upliftment of Malawians, adding to the economic infrastructure of tourism in Malawi. Income generated from this hospitality service will add to our training programme for future development. Guest access The two Guest houses, Sunrise Cottage and Lakeview Cottage and welcome international and national travellers for business or leisure. Each cottage has two bedrooms, shared shower and toilet, dining area, patio overlooking the Lake. Please note that we are not located on the Lake shore but about 300 meter on a hill however guests can walk to the Lake. 1. SUNRISE COTTAGE: Sleep 6 people. It has two bedrooms, one with double bed and one with double and ¾ bed. Sharing a private toilet and shower. There is a small dining area with fridge, microwave, basin, cutlery, crockery mainly for making coffee/tea. No cooking is allowed in the cottages but breakfast and dinner can be ordered from the local host at extra cost. 2. LAKEVIEW COTTAGE: Sleep 6 people. It has two bedrooms, one with 3 x single beds in each room. Sharing a private toilet and shower. There is a small dining area with fridge, microwave, zink, cutlery, crockery mainly for making coffee/tea. No cooking is allowed in the cottages but breakfast and dinner can be ordered from the local host at extra cost. Other things to note Please note that the cottages are situated off shore about 300 meter from the Lake shore located on a hill overseeing the Lake. Guests are welcome to walk down to the Lake. The windows are fitted with mosquito screens, beds with mosquito nets, but guests must remember to bring mosquito repellent/spray for your rooms.
