Brookside Chalet

Not just a place to stay but a place where you will want to stay. - Dedicated parking space - Well-appointed full kitchen - Deck overlooking Mashamoquet Brook (our guests refer to it as the tree house:) The bed will be the highlight of your experience. This high quality queen is accessorized with a pillow top mattress, goose down and memory foam pillows and spa quality sheets and pillow cases. Location: - Five minute drive to Pomfret Prep. - Ten minute drive to main Street in Putnam. The space Private entrance to a stairway that leads you to the unit. The bed! We want you to REALLY enjoy your overnight experience. This is our number one goal. To that end we selected the most comfortable mattress we could find and adorned it with: - Smooth high fiber count linens only sold to spas - A plush comforter - PIllows: there are two down pillows and two ergo pillows. Choose the ones that fit your preference. They are all hypoallergenic. - Soft and warm blankets The Bed Room: Spacious! There are two luggage rests for easy “out of your suitcase” living... or you can unpack as there is plenty of closet space and a large chest of drawers. Living area: Open floor plan! The kitchen, dining and living area is open making it easy and comfortable to share the space and keep the conversation going. The Deck: Scenic! Enjoy your coffee overlooking a babbling brook. Winter alternative: build a snowman and drink hot cocoa. ;) Nature Trail: Serine! Go around the left of the building, down the deck stairs and find yourself brookside where the bustle of a hurried life is cleansed away by the babbling brook. Guest access The Brookside Chalet is all yours to enjoy. The private entrance takes you one flight of stairs up as the Brookside Chalet is situated over the garage. Your private space includes a large deck overlooking the brook. Feel free to use the short nature trail as well. Get there by going around the left of the building then down the stairs. Other things to note Please turn around before leaving. Go on the grass if needed. Please close the umbrella on the deck if wind is in the forecast.
