B&B Palazzi is located in the Castello area in a 1400s residence of historical and artistic interest, charming and romantic. Located at the foot of Monte Morello, the property is located in an area of high landscape value, characterized by the presence of the magnificent Medici Villas. These villas were recognized and registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on June 23, 2013. The residence is surrounded by the beautiful setting of the Florentine hills and Monte Morello, which offers numerous hiking trails surrounded by greenery. The space The house has four large and bright bedrooms, with one of the bedrooms equipped with a shared bathroom. Guests can use bicycles or mountain bikes, both for men and women, free of charge, with a deposit ranging from €50.00 to €100.00 depending on the model chosen. Bicycles are kept in excellent condition and equipped with lights, locks and chains. You can rent e-bikes on site and have maintenance done at our workshop, which is part of the FIAB "Albergabici" cycle tourism circuit. Guests can also book a guide for excursions with various itineraries to be decided. Housekeeping is guaranteed daily, with linen change every three days. Some paid services are available, including an extra bed upon customer request for €25.00, a mini-bar with prices indicated on a list in each room, laundry and ironing for personal linen with a price to be agreed based on quantity and weight, and access to Pay TV such as Netflix. Guest access The property offers a relaxation room ideal for reading and board games, perfect for moments of leisure and tranquility. Guests can enjoy a breakfast room equipped with a TV, tables and chairs, available on request, to start the day in a cozy environment. In addition, there is a kitchen equipped with a table and chairs, also available on request, for those who want to prepare their own meals. Outside, a garden with a barbecue offers the opportunity to enjoy pleasant moments outdoors, making the property a versatile and welcoming place for every need. Other things to note The important Medici villas located near the property include the Villa Di Castello, also known as the Villa Reale Di Castello, restored by Vasari and surrounded by a magnificent garden designed by Tribolo. This villa houses the Accademia della Crusca and the Opera del Vocabolario Italiano, making it a center of linguistic excellence since 1974. Villa Della Petraia is considered one of the jewels of Florence, thanks to its fine pictorial decorations, period furnishings and panoramic location. Villa Corsini, built in the Baroque era, was once annexed to our bed and breakfast. A short distance away, just a 10-minute drive (3 km), is the Villa Reale Di Careggi, acquired by the Medici in the 15th century and renovated by Michelozzo for Cosimo Il Vecchio, who died there in 1464. The area is further enriched by other historical-architectural presences such as Villa Il Pozzino, Villa La Quiete and the famous Villa Del Bel Riposo. The latter is known for having hosted Carlo Lorenzini, known as "Collodi", author of the masterpiece "Pinocchio", inspired by the places and local inhabitants. In his honor, the Municipality of Florence placed a commemorative plaque on April 27, 2007 at the entrance to the villa, now a private residence. Finally, Castello is also the birthplace of the Florentine poet Mario Luzi, who rests in the cemetery of the church of San Michele a Castello. This location not only offers a rich historical and cultural heritage, but is also a reference point for literature and history enthusiasts.
