The 5 bridges leading to Ottawa are all within 5 to 7 minutes drive. We have an excellent public transportation system with 5 bus stop within a 2 minute walk. Other things to note Public transportation: There's 5 Bus stops are within 2 minute walk from the house. OC Transpo bus card, including those with a U-Pass or PRESTO card, will work on STO (Société de transport de l'Outaouais) buses in Gatineau. OC Transpo and STO have an agreement to accept each other's passes, allowing riders to travel seamlessly between Ottawa and Gatineau. BUS STO SERVICE nearby our house: 26, 29, 32, 34, 36, 37, 40, 41, 45, 47, 55, 59, 371 Our winters are cold (December to March). Temperatures can reach as low as -35 Celsius degree and averages -15C. By law, cars need to be equipped with winter tires from December 1st til April 15th. After snow storms, we need to plow the parking. If you have a car, we may ask you to move it. Summers are nice with average temperatures of 25 Celsius, sometime humid. We supply and install the air conditioners in late May/early June. We get a lot of rain during spring and fall. The speed limit on surrounding streets is 40km/h. This apartment is on the second floor. Be aware of the 20 steps of the stairwell leading to the 2nd floor. There's in no bathtub, only a shower.
