It offers spacious, air-conditioned accommodations for one or multiple families. With its private dock, this quiet part of the lake offers safe swimming, boating, skiing or tubing, and fishing right off of the dock. Tims Ford Lake is a 10,700 acre lake with 246 miles of beautiful shoreline and less than 20% of shoreline development. Located in a secluded community, but just 12 minutes from local restaurants, a historic cinema and a Wal-Mart. The Jack Nicholas designed Bear Trace Golf Course was named one the the 'Top Ten Places You Can Play', and it's a 20 minute drive or 7 minutes by boat. 30 minutes away in Lynchburg is the Jack Daniels Distillery (the oldest in the US) and Lynchburg Winery, both open for tours and tasting. Sewanee and the University of the South, along with exceptional dining, are a 35 minute scenic drive up the mountain. Some of the best hiking trails and rock climbing cliffs in the country are on the mountain such as the Fiery Gizzard Trail and Stone Door. Less than an hour away is Huntsville, AL and the US Space Center. Chattanooga is 75 minutes. Nashville is 90 minutes.
