Hidden in the Redwoods, HotTub, Some pets Welcomed

We take extra precautions to make our home as safe & stressless as possible....sanitizing everything that gets touched by human hands: light switches, door nobs and handles, toilet flushers, furniture, appliances, ETC. 3. The hot tub ALWAYS gets emptied, sanitized, & refilled between EVERY set of guests 4. Comfort, peace, & safety are our primary concerns 5. Pets welcomed The space And here are 8 more reasons for renting this hidden treasure: 1.) We are certified by Airbnb to be "Covid Clean" and we take great pride in that! 2.) You can create an unforgettable experience at a forgettable price. 3.) Every single view (inside & out) is a photo op. 4.) Your neighbors want the exact same thing as much as you do - PRIVACY, PEACE, QUIET, BEAUTY, and a PERSONAL experience. 5.) It's a great place to hide out if you need some peace of mind combined with beauty and serenity. 6.) It's hidden in the healing energy of redwoods (& has good parking!) 7.) It's super close to town AND... 8.) I want to STAY a super host! (That means I aim to please - ALWAYS!) PS...we are providing a basket full of sanitizing options from conventional products (like Lysol, Hand sanitizers, and Pinesol) to green products (such as vinegar, alcohol, and soap). We are also providing gloves and paper towels as well :-) Before you book I am asking you to please (please, please, please, lol) read all the way through this! I absolutely hate having to use such an abundance of words but it is the only way I can thoroughly orient you to the uniqueness of our environment. This strategically tucked way and hidden home actually invites you to enjoy the lush, overgrown forest of the West Coast, while still being only less than a mile (an easy walking distance) from the heart of Fortuna. You will be able to get warm and relaxed in the outdoor hot tub that gets emptied and refilled with fresh, clean water for each and every guest. To conserve energy we keep the hot tub turned off between guests. The little cottage is right next door to this bigger house and there is a little vintage trailer (for VERY up-scaled camping...actually more like glamping) tucked under the trees on the same property…which may or may not be rented during your stay. All three rentals are private and have their own parking spaces and private entries. It is very easy to actually enjoy total privacy while you reside in any one of the options. The insides are totally insulated and sounds stay inside…and an extra privacy screen is provided for your hot-tubbing experiences (although it is actually not necessary) :-) One really awesome advantage of having these three living spaces on one piece of property is that retreats, reunions, people attending the same events, etc. can all stay in the same location. There are enough beds to accommodate 7 - 9 people comfortably (and 5 cars without trailers) on the hill...and the Farmhouse below on the flat can be included to make a combined count of 13- 15 guests all on one piece of land with 2 distinctly different eco systems, looks, uses, and vibes :-) As I am sitting here, looking out my window, while typing this up, I am reminded that (because there is a deer right in front of my face :-) we are nestled in the heart of a playground for wildlife. Wild animals are a natural part of the environment in our beautiful redwood forests and sometimes wander into and around our surrounding areas. Being that this house sits squarely in the center of a clearing in the woods we feel it is incumbent upon us to tell you that, although beautiful and sunny most of the day, it is definitely shaded in the early mornings and early evenings. We have an outdoor heater so that the deck can be enjoyed year 'round :-) Please know that under the gorgeous canopy of greenery comes several territorial peculiarities that come with living in Humboldt in the Redwoods. We have gone to great lengths to make this house as allergen free and environmentally friendly to the best of our ability. We have put wool carpet in bedrooms, hardwood in the hallway, and provide pet friendly guidelines, etc. but please take note that those conditions exist year 'round in most of Humboldt's coastal areas. In fact...be aware, IF you have extreme allergies please investigate with the Humboldt County Health Department during allergy season before you book with us. Parking is ample and very easy to navigate. There is room, during the summer months (June through October), to park your trailer or a large RV on the flat at the but there are no hooks ups (YET). There is a minimum of $45 a night charge for guests in a self-contained recreational vehicle. The flat is unavailable during the rainy season (November through May) because it becomes a mud bog. We sure hope you will enjoy your stay in every way :-) Oh, and please read our Covid Cleaning Protocol! Guest access Guests will have 100% use of and access to the inside and immediate outside their own home and parking space. Guests will not be sharing tubs with other guests, each place has it's own water features :-) AND...guests are free to wander in the woods a bit, but we will tell you where the ideal locations are when you get here for truly awesome hiking and exploring experiences...we have property lines to consider on our side of the mountain, as well as natural springs that just ooze out of the earth, along with poison oak, snakes, bugs, and other creatures of the woods... so access is a limited. :-) Other things to note ABOUT SMOKINGG: As you probably already know, we live in, and our vacation rentals are in Humboldt County. Humboldt is well known (some even say 'famous') for it's recreational and medicinal herb growing and using. We want you to know that we mind our own business about that and don't much care what our neighbors and fellow citizens do, but we do want you to know that the smoking of the herb is perfectly ok with us at these locations. We only ask that you use the great outdoors for any kind of smoking...we have supplied ashtrays on the deck and porch for your smoking pleasures. ABOUT PETS: This house not suitable for dogs over 40-ish lbs or for dogs that shed. I have included a deposit amount that could cover damages but I sure would like to avoid using that if possible! Please bring an extra blanket or sheet or doggy bed to use as a sofa covering for your furry critters to lay on...and if you don't have room for any just ask and we will lend you some :-) We will send you our pet protocol upon request and/or booking - which ever comes first. Thank you so much! We LOVE pets, we have LOVED being able to travel with ours, and we want to return the favors and provide that luxury to you too! The main thing we ask in return is that you leave our home with no trace or evidence that your pet was even there. We want NON-PET people to get to have a pet-free experience in our environments as well. Please message us with your pet's descriptions. Please provide the first names of your pets, family, friends, and partners in your communications with me via AirBnB :-) ABOUT PARTYING: * We encourage retreat-like gatherings and such, but not party type events. All special events must be coordinated through me (Pauline). * It's a quiet and peaceful environment here...feel free to make as much very quiet and peaceful noise as you wish. ABOUT OPTIONAL OFFERINGS: We have 4 listings…ALL of which are on the same 4-acre property. 

HIDDEN up in the Redwoods is the "big house”. Right next door to it, also SECLUDED up in the Redwoods, is the little cottage, and there is also a cozy BOHO-type VINTAGE trailer (for VERY up-scaled camping) tucked under the trees on the same property. The FARMHOUSE is at the foot of the hill that those 3 other units sit on. These 4 units are perfect for very intimate retreat-like functions, wedding events, family reunions, healing/health/wellness affairs, etc. where people want to be close in proximity but also want to have their own individual places to enjoy in total privacy. 
 They are all totally self-contained and individualized and have their own parking spaces and private entries. It is very easy to actually enjoy total privacy while you reside in any one of our options…we just happen to know this for a fact because we lived in one for over a year! :-) . 13 - 15 guests can be accommodated comfortably in these four vacation rentals. On the hillside there is room for at least 5 cars without trailers, and on the flat there is pretty much unlimited parking in the non-rainy summer and fall months. ABOUT OTHER STUFF: Our homes are not antique, but they do have that mid-century, early 60’s charm with simple, clean-lined architecture. We are dedicated to keeping them well preserved and attractive...meaning: 

* We keep them well maintained and like to know of any issues that come up that we cannot know about unless and until someone tells us! :-) * We are grateful to our guests who let us know of any concerns we can immediately address to make a stay more comfortable and convenient ASAP! 

 …ALSO, even though, over time, we will be developing and improving our “landscape” it will never be a meticulously manicured piece of property. We love the fact that our homes are sitting in the natural settings and foliage of the forest and meadow and we do not see a need to improve upon that. So, basically the most obviously obnoxious weeds will be ‘eated’ and the branches and debris that fall in the way will be removed… otherwise the landscape is intentionally left for Mother Nature to tend to :-) ABOUT EXPLORING: It is our desire to “treet” you to an enriching & enjoyable experience...in the beauty of nature where there is peace, & quiet. In fact, you are free to wander in the woods a bit, but we will tell you where the ideal locations are when you get here for truly awesome hiking and exploring experiences...we have property lines to consider on our side of the mountain so access is limited. :-) ABOUT YOUR VISITORS: Should you (or anyone on the hill) want to entertain a visitor (who is not staying all night) there are a couple of extra parking spaces on the flat under the trees by the trailer. Self-contained, occupied RV's can stay on the flat for $45 per night - there are no hook-ups (yet anyway). ABOUT CHICKENS AND EGGS: We will share our fresh eggs from our "free ranged" chickens at our Farmhouse with you whenever we can. We will supply you with very specific instructions (in your goody bags) so that you know exactly and precisely how to deal with fresh eggs harmlessly - they are to be handled differently from grocery store bought eggs. Please follow these instructions to the tee to insure your safety as well as your cooking and eating pleasure! :-)
