The space 4/22/24 The Property has just been prepped to add another house in the back of the property. Fencing around trees and mulch over most of the yard for tree protection. It doesn't look pretty but there should be little impact to your stay. Please reach out if you have concerns with this. We have not started any construction. House was fully remodeled down to the studs. It has a modern but quaint vibe that goes with this old East Austin neighborhood. Some of the updates include a modern and updated kitchen with stainless appliances, french door bottom freezer refrigerator, 5 burner gas range, quartz countertops, soft close drawers, appliance garage, pantry cabinet. Kitchen is open to the living room. Bathroom has a deep Koehler Airtub, matte finish subway tile and accent bubble tile in soap niche, Toto comfort height toilet, and a marble top vanity. High Speed Internet is provided. Walkable neighborhood and so very close to downtown and easy access to main highways. Guest access Guests will have 2 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, living room and kitchen for their sole use. Guests park in the driveway which can accommodate 2 cars parked tandem. There is also plenty of street parking. Other things to note The Mermaid House name is inspired by my artist friend Janet Hardin who was an Aquarena Springs Mermaid in years past and created some of the Artwork in the house. Janet's partner, Ron Coley, is the Author of the book The Fountain's of Saint Mark, a coffee table book about Aquarena Springs. There will be a copy available to view as well as signed copies for sale.
