Our house is nestled amongst swaying palms in a sleepy, safe village just a few minutes walk from the beach. We are close to local shops, food stands and the stops for local transport into town. Get to know Mafia by being amongst the hustle and bustle of island life. From June to August, join for turtle hatchings, September for humpback whales and October to February for the mighty whale sharks! Or pop over anytime of the year for island adventuring and the best scuba diving in East Africa! Guest access You are welcome to use all areas of the house except for the master bedroom. During your stay Sufi used to work at the nearby dive centre, but he has now working in Zanzibar. We are still very connected to the dive center so feel free to contact them. There will always be someone around from Sufi's family or group of friends to show you where the beach and dive center are or to help you buy food or other essentials. I met Sufi when I stayed at his place. It was the best Airbnb experience I have had, so when Sufi moved to Zanzibar I wanted to help him make sure guests would still have the same experience as I did. Other things to note Very important to note is that our house is located within the Mafia Island Marine Park. This means that all tourists will be expected to pay Marine Park fees of US$ 23.6 per night (VAT inclusive). This is only payable by card direct to the park authorities.
