Villa Nyasa is a beautiful sprawling thatched Villa by the Beach, conveniently situated on the southern shore of Lake Malawi half way between Mangochi town and Club Makokola, in a unique Leisure Resort style setting. The space Villa Nyasa offers spacious and comfortable self-catering accommodation with air conditioned bedrooms, suitable for both a small family or a big group of up to 22 people. It also incorporates a large beach-side entertainment area comprising of a family friendly swimming pool, bar area with a dart board (please bring your own darts), kitchenette and alfresco dining and BBQ patio. Power: There will be occasions when ESCOM does not supply power. Fortunately we do have a 5.5KVA backup Petrol generator that will enable supply of most of the lighting and wall sockets, all ceiling fans and 2 essential fridges. Please ask the staff to turn it on as and when required, or you may alternatively enjoy a romantic candlelight atmosphere until the power returns. Generator usage: Please note there may be Petrol left behind by the previous guests, but we cannot be responsible for the continual refueling of the generator, so be prepared to buy Petrol if you intend to use the generator. There is a container available for your use and Petrol may be purchased from a nearby filling station. Please make sure the container is clean with no dirt/sand or water in it before filling. Although the operation of the generator is undertaken only by the staff, in the event that a guest takes it upon him/herself to do so then any resultant damage caused to the generator or injury to the person through improper handling will be the guest’s liability. Water: Villa Nyasa provides a supply of fresh Borehole water to the house, minimizing the risk of contamination from water pumped directly from the lake. However, guests are advised to bring their own bottled drinking water with them. Hot water is supplied to all the rooms by 3 geysers, ESCOM permitting! Guest access The guests will be able to use the entire property. Other things to note Villa Nyasa is a self-catering cottage although the staff can assist you with meal preparations.
