Welcome to our charming second-floor cottage-apartment, nestled in our historic 1830s brick farmhouse near Montpelier, the vibrant state capital. This beautifully redecorated space is perfect for guests, featuring two bedrooms, one with a cozy loft. The vintage farmhouse kitchen is well-stocked and the living/dining room is spacious and inviting with lovely views of the mountains and active farm fields. Enjoy the glorious morning sun and cozy up with blackout shades for a good night’s sleep. The space We invite you to come and relax at our stunning country location. Wonderful spot for a stay-cation, work from home alternative, or a family retreat (we even provide some kids books and toys). We are nestled in the middle of small farm country - dairy, corn and equestrian. First bedroom is a pass-through room into the living room and kitchen. Second bedroom has its own door off of the living room and also has an additional sleeping loft. So the second bedroom could sleep 2 adults and 2 children if needed. Plan is included in photos so you can see the layout. Heat and AC throughout! We keep the place in great shape; if you come on a repeat visit, you're sure to find something new to delight and relax you during your Vermont vacation. AND, we are proudly powered by renewable energy - our home is solar powered and we use pellets for our central heating and now have AC throughout the apt. FYI/ ‘smart’ TV is ready for use with your own streaming platforms. Your hosts are also your neighbors! Anything you need or any questions have please just message us as we are often around. ps - this IS an old farmhouse in the country and the occasional mouse has been known to quietly sneak through the back of the cabinets. We also have the occasional house fly that shows up on a window or two at random times of the year. Just want you to know that you'll be staying in a REAL country home with a REAL country feel. Guest access Parking is on left side of driveway in line with the other cars, diagonally off to the left of the garage if possible - thanks! And we ask that you remove your shoes in the front entry hall. Thank you. Other things to note Please park on the left side of driveway on a diagonal so we have access to the garage. Please - no shoes in the apartment, and no smoking or vaping anywhere on the property. Location: We are a great location for visiting Montpelier, the vibrant Vermont state capital, ski resorts, and many sweet towns in between. There are farms, breweries, general stores and shopping malls all within an easy drive, yet the house is in an idyllic rural setting with fields and abundant walking, skiing, snowshoeing and immediate access to the VAST trails right out the back door. There are views from each window and you have complete privacy. The cottage- apartment: We have one hypo allergenic small dog, Little Bear who you may see during your visit. He’s very friendly but will probably bark when he first meets you. We use natural cleaning products whenever possible and keep the place in beautiful shape. We take extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces in between each guest and have to use more disinfectant-type products for your safety. Linens are washed with natural products. We supply a duvet and cover as well as comfy blankets and pillows. Proudly powered by renewable energy (solar and pellets)! We also provide AC throughout the apartment and you can control the temps. Discount rates assume four person occupancy and we ask for each person's name when you make your reservation. Let us know if you have more people in your party - we have a small up charge.
