Description

Our family's Northern Michigan heritage lakefront cottages on beautiful Torch Lake. They are old and funky but very cute and ON THE LAKE! BOTH COTTAGES BOOKED TOGETHER -SLEEPS 8 Cozy 1 bedroom cabin with kitchen, bath and a living room/sleeping porch with a sofabed -sleeps 4. Larger 2 bedroom cottage -sleeps 4 adults+. There are 2 decks, firepit and a dock on the water. *Please do not book if you are looking for a "hotel" experience. These are old fashioned lake cottages.* The space LISTED PRICE REFLECTS BOTH COTTAGES We rent the 2 cottages together as if they were 1 house in the summer months. **If you are interested in booking only one cottage in Early Spring or Late Fall, we can offer 1 cottage only at a 20% discount. You will still have exclusive use of the outdoor portion of the property. Message for availability and price adjustment. Our property consists of: *A small 1 bedroom Brown Cabin which is closest to the water. It is best suited for 2 people because it is a pretty small, but it does have sleeping for up to 4 if you don't mind close quarters. It is a cozy one bedroom (double bed) with bath (shower), eat-in kitchen, small living room that doubles as a sleeping porch with a sofa-bed, and its own deck. *The larger Red Cottage has a full kitchen with full size refrigerator, bath with shower, and a small TV and fireplace in the living room. There are 2 bedrooms; one with a queen bed and one with full/double bed. Both cottages together could sleep 8 adults. Both cottages are vintage, old, funky, and well loved. We do our very best to provide a clean, comfortable space but honestly these old wooded lake cottages sometimes have a hard time keeping nature outdoors. It's just how it is. ***Please do not book a stay if you are looking for a "hotel" experience. This is an old and rustic place; "your grandma's lake cottage"*** Outdoor lawn has fire pit, chairs, a deck on each cottage, a picnic table, and gas grill. 9 stairs take you down to the dock and the lake. Bring your boat or rent one for the day nearby - Overnight transient slips are available for rent minutes away. Do not tie up to our dock, we do not have a hoist. We do have a mooring buoy for day use and calm water nights. We also have 2 kayaks and stand up paddle boards available for use while you are staying at the lake. You'll love the cottage because of the coziness and the views. Great place for multiple couples, large families/friends vacationing together. These are both SUMMER cottages, not suitable for really cold weather. The large Red Cottage does have a fireplace and we do have space heaters available in both cottages if it gets chilly but please be aware if looking to book early or late in the season. Guest access There are 2 cottages on the property, they are both rented together. You have access to the whole property unless only renting the one of the cottages.. We also have 2 kayaks available for guests to rent while you are staying at the lake. (additional charge). Please contact us if you would like to use either of these amenities. 3 CARS MAXIMUM. You may park 2 cars (one in back of the other down parallel to the the cottages and one car on the pad at the top of the driveway. No garage. Other things to note We also have another property just up the road with comfortable sleeping for 6 if it is available.
