Nyamai’s Serene Farm House

Situated in the heart of the village, you get immersed into the village life and forget about city life. A farm setting with gardens, fruits, cows, sheep, chickens and goose. Enjoy borne fires evenings under a gazebo, or sip ice cold beverages while you watch the birds or sunsets. Good sleep guaranteed by a nice and soft queen bed and full bunk bed. Modern kitchen with industrial appliances. Fast internet and Netflix. Multi-screen computer workstation convenient for virtual work. The space The farm house has two bedrooms, 1 shared bathroom and an open kitchen-living room setup. The master bedroom with a floating queen bed and a guest room with a full bunk bed. The house accommodates up to 4 guests and can accommodate more if proper arrangements are made. We have a fully kitted spacious kitchen for self catering with cabinets, fridge, industrial microwave, coffee maker, electric counter top cooker and gas cooker. A charcoal grill with a hood for barbecues is also available. The lounge has a comfortable couch bed, 3 lounge recliners and chairs to comfortably seat 8 people. The kitchen counter has 2 bar stools as well. We also have a fully kitted workstation with an office chair and table, a dock connecting two computer monitors. Safaricom Internet connection is also available in the house. The farm house is built with large windows for natural air and sunlight. We have front and back porches for relaxation. Sunrises are amazing to watch from the front porch. The back porch has climbing plant roof that gives a natural appeal and attractive to the numerous species of birds. The birds singing in the morning is an ecstatic addition to the property. The space has ample security with guard dogs and a serene relaxing environment with a farm like feel. There is plenty of space for children to play around. The yard has a swing and a well kept lawn with a gazebo for lounging. A fire pit is provided for borne fires for the chilly evenings. Lots of trees, fruits and flowers adding to the serenity. We are conveniently located in a rural setting to immerse you into a world of unwinding, relaxation and blending with nature and farm life. It takes you away from the hustle and bustle of town/city life. This is basically your natural home away from home. Guest access Guest have access to the house, large yard, gazebo, swing, hammock, borne fire pit, a charcoal grill, large kitchen with modern equipment, coffee maker, iron box, and mosquito repellent. Nyamai’s Farm house is 15kms away from Ndhiwa town via Osodo Primary School/Mboga Youth Polytechnic (Second left-turn after Ndhiwa town). We are 45mins from Homabay town and about 30mins away from Ruma National Park (The only home of the Roan Antelope). Other things to note Most tourist destinations in Homabay county are within reach. Ruma National Park is closest, beaches along the lake like Sori, Mbita, islands such as Rusinga, Takawiri and Mfangano are between 30mins-1hr away. During rainy seasons, we experience power outages hence we have an on-site generator for electricity backup. The 15km road stretch to the farm is a murram/dirt road.
